Twilight

"oh i see how it is!"

He always feels safe in his arms, when it's barely daytime anymore, where the colors of the visual spectrum come out at full force and stain the atmosphere with shades and tints that can only ever be seen now, here, forever.

And he smiles as he steps out onto the balcony, pulling at his sweatshirt to keep the cold from hitting his skin, watching as the sun's last rays hit the Earth before the horizon goes black.

He exhales gently, mist from the heat of his breath forming a miniature cloud before him.

And a pair of arms wrap around his waist.

“Aren't you cold?” he asks the other, turning a bit to peer at the blond.

“I'm warm now.”

He snorts quietly, smirking. “But you'll always be a dork.”

“But I'm an adorable dork, so that's okay.”

“You're also egotistical, but I suppose I'll live with it.”

“Don't make me come down there.”

“Or what?” he chuckles, turning fully now, leaning up to kiss the blond's lips. “You'll beat me?”

“No, I just won't talk to you.”

“Woe is me.”

“Oh! Oh I see how it is!” the blond laughs.

And he grins, the safety wafting around him as he's pulled closer.
