Bringing You to Happiness

Meeting Kevin; The Soulmate

The car ride was silent on the way to the Jonas house. Today was the one year anniversary of Katherine’s death && today Kassi && Summer were finally meeting the rest of the Jonas Family.

It’s been about 2 && ½ months since the concert Kassi && Summer had met Nick at. Ever since then they have talked on the phone && texted non stop. To say Kassi was nervous was an understatement. She knew instantly that they would fall in love with Summer, there was no doubt in her mind. It was her she was worried about that they wouldn’t like.

About half an hour later Nick pulled up into the Jonas drive way. Kassi sighed as she got out of Nick’s mustang. Nick picked up a sleeping Summer into his arms while caring her to the front door to his && his parents house.

He easily opened the front door for Kassi before letting himself in while still holding Summer. Kassi thanked him before he went up the stairs to the first guest bedroom on the right. Nick placed Summer on the bed && kissed her forehead before leaving the room quietly.

When Nick returned back downstairs he saw that Kassi was in the living room look at all the family photos. “I’m sure you’ve seen that one before,” Nick commented while looking at the same picture Kassi was. It was one of Joe, Nick, && Kevin at the beach a while back; before they got famous a while back. Kassi smiled && nodded her head yes. Nick too smiled before saying that everyone was out back.

When they reached the back porch her eyes landed on a shirtless man in the pool looking a bit sad. “I’m guessing him && the littlewhore wife had another fight over something she probably wanted him to buy with his money,” Nick whispered somewhat angrily to her. Kassi’s eye’s saddened at the sight of Kevin in the pool by himself. I’m kinda glad that I changed into my bathing suit before we left. Kassi thought to herself.

So Kassi took her pants && tank top off before slowly walking towards the pool to where Kevin was. All the while the whole Jonas family is just watching her every move, including Nick. When Kassi reached Kevin she just sat down next to him wordlessly. Kassi wanted Kevin to be the one to start the conversation, so she waited patiently for him to speak.

After about 5 minutes Kevin realized that Kassi was sitting next to him. When he saw her for the first time he was just in awe of her. He thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Then he remembered that he was at his parents house meeting Nick’s friend, Kassandra. “You must be Kassandra,” Kevin stated. Kassi just nodded her head yes && said, “You must be Kevin.” For some reason Kevin couldn’t help but crack a smile at that. He almost smiled his real smile, almost.

The Jonas family noticed a change in Kevin after he smiled, he seemed brighter, happier. They could tell that Kassi was perfect for him, unlike that thing he married. “Mommy I like her better than Godzilla,” Frankie, the youngest Jonas, told his mom seriously. “Franklin Nathaniel Jonas don’t ever call someone that name, even if that’s what they are. Besides I agree with you 100%. I think she’s gonna be perfect for him,” Stated Mrs. Jonas. Frankie && Nick both nodded their heads vigorously in agreement.

After thirty minutes Mrs. Jonas called over to Kevin && Kassi who were still by the pool talking. The two got up from their spots && went inside for dinner.

When they got to the table Kevin pulled out Kassi’s chair before sitting in the one next to her. Kassi blushed && giggled. Nick smiled, his breath-taking smile, at the two. He saw how happy Kassi made him && how relaxed he was around her. Danielle will be gone in no time. Nick smirked to himself. “Nick what are you smirking about?” Asked Kassi bringing him out of his thoughts. Nick just smiled && said, “Nothing you need to worry about Kas.” Kassi rolled her eyes.

For the rest of dinner everyone laughed && had a good time until Frankie mentioned that James, his best friend, was getting a new cat && that it was gonna be just his. Before anyone could blink Kassi ran from the dinner table. “Where’d Kassi go? Kevin asked worried. Nick sighed. Nick told them about Kassi’s younger sister Kay && how her full name was Katherine but some people called her Kat. He also told them that it was the one year anniversary of her death. Frankie immediately began to feel bad. Nick convinced Frankie that is wasn’t his fault while Kevin went in search of Kassi to make sure she was okay.

After looking all around the house Kevin found her on the front porch crying. The sight of her crying shattered his heart. He just wanted to cry with her. He quietly sat down next to her. He slowly put his arm around her shoulders. The second it was around her she turned her body into his && continued crying. Kevin instantly put his other arm around her && held her. He kept whispering that he was there && that she would be okay while he was around. Kassi’s sobbing turned to sniffles as soon as he finished telling her that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Kevin looked at Kassi’s eyes && he just stopped breathing. He saw his future in her eyes. As he stared into her eyes his face slowly moved closer to hers. Finally his lips touched hers. Kevin was actually surprised that she didn’t pull away. They made out for about 5 minutes before Kassi pulled away. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that,” Kevin told her. Kassi just smiled at him before kissing him sweetly again. Kevin too smiled.

“Nick told us what today was…” Kevin said quietly. Kassi sighed “What did he tell y’all?” She asked quietly. “Only that it’s the first year anniversary of your sisters death,’ Kevin replied quietly. Kassi nodded her head && said, “We were in a car accident last August, coming home from yawls concert. She died before the paramedics got there from loosing too much blood,” Kassi said while trying no to break down again. Kevin just rubbed her cheeks with his thumbs before kissing her.

Just before he could kiss her again Nick opened the front door. “Oh sorry guys, Kassi it’s getting late I think I should take you && Summer home,” Nick said apologetically. Kassi nodded her head && got up from Kevin’s arms instantly becoming cold.

As Kassi went in Kevin motioned for Nick to come out so that they could talk. “You know Kassi told me something interesting,” Nick said after a moment of silence. “Oh, really what?” Asked Kevin. “That you’re her favorite Jonas Brother && that she doesn’t think it’s a coincidence that I took her to that diner to eat after one the Administration concerts. She told me that somehow her sister, Kay, has brought you to her. She said that you’re the only guy she would ever think was perfect for her big sister,” Nick said smiling. Kevin couldn’t help but smile at that. “Really? She told you all that?” Kevin asked oddly hopeful. Nick nodded his head. Kevin smiled to himself. After a second he said, “I think I found the one I’m meant to be with. I don’t want Danielle anymore. Hell I never really wanted her anyways,” Kevin said. Nick smiled proudly at his big brother.

A moment later Kassi came out carrying a still sleeping Summer, she was sick, in her arms. “Sorry, I wanted to say goodbye to everyone. Although I think you might wanna talk to Joe. He seems a little down,” Kassi told them. “I think you telling him that he was Kay’s favorite Jonas Brother kinda upset him. You see he used to have dreams about this girl for the longest time. He knew everything about her. I don’t mean to disgust you but they did the deed in his dream. He dreamt about this girl every night.

The night before the concert he dreamt that she came to that concert. The only bad thing was that he woke up screaming && crying. His dream girl died in a car accident after the concert… Ever since that dream he hasn’t dreamt about her.” Nick finished quietly.

Kassi just gasped. She then handed passed Summer to Nick before going back into the house. When Kassi reached Joe’s bedroom door she knocked quietly. “Come in,” came Joe’s voice softly. Kassi slowly entered his room. “Hey.” He said quietly. Kassi just smiled. “You would’ve really liked her in person Joe.” Kassi said quietly. Joe just looked at her shocked that she knew. “Nick told me about your dreams…” Kassi said slowly. All Joe said was “Oh.”

After a moment of silence Kassi reached into her purse && pulled out her wallet. From it she retrieved a picture. A picture of Kay. She handed it to Joe. Once Joe’s eyes reached it they began to tear up. “Even though she didn’t know you personally she loved you more than anything. Only you could bring that smile to her face,” Kassi told him. Joe nodded still staring at the picture in Kassi’s hand. “I want you to have this.” said Kassi while putting the picture in Joe’s hand. Joe just looked at her. “Just to remember her better.” Kassi said while smiling. Joe smiled a small smile while saying thank you. He got up && hugged her.

As Kassi was leaving Joe’s room she saw that he putting the picture in a frame && placing it by his bed. This made her smile. Now you have Joe Kay. Kassi thought to herself.

When she reached the front porch once again all she saw was Kevin in his Jeep with Summer in the back of it. Kassi went over to the driver side to talk to Kevin. Before she could utter a single syllable Kevin said, “I told Nick that I would take you guys home.” Kassi smiled && told him thank you.

When they reach her house Kevin got Summer && carried her into the house. “Thank you Kevin.” Kassi said while smiling. Kevin too smiled. As he left Kassi smiled. I know what your doing Katherine. Thank you. Kassi told the stars in the sky, knowing that her life was gonna be Much Better from now on.
