Jo put the letter back into the box that just contains stuff from Elaine: Blue sapphire earrings, a silver dove Christmas ornament, her letter and her photo. She put the black shoebox under the loose floorboard of the orphanage. As a senior in high school Jo has to start thinking about college and how to pay for that. On top of that bundle of joy once she turns 18 she needs to figure out if she’s going to stay there or move out. The question was where could she move to?
