Starting Over

I open my eyes and see a bright light. “Cassidy?’ I hear someone say. “Cassidy? Are you awake?” The person sounded really worried. I couldn’t feel anything. Not even my lips, but I managed tog et out some mumble that even I didn’t understand. “Oh thank God.” the still unknown person sighed in relief. But I instantly knew who it was when they bent down to give me a hug.

“What-what happened?” I stuttered.
“You passed out in the water at swim practice. I was so worried. I called your mom and dad and they are on the way.” He bent down and leaned in really close. “I love you, Cassidy.” he said.
Then I passed out again.
