"Dear Cameron,"

12/6/10 Dear Cameron,

Dear Cameron,
What happens when we die? Don't get me wrong, I'm not suicidal or in anyway suffering depression. What happens when our very essences are ripped away from our soul? Do we feel happiness to leave behind deceitful human nature? Are we sad to have to wait for our loved ones on Earth? What happens? What's beyond? I'm sure no living human being can answer that for us but... What IS heaven? What's the line that deeply distinguishes heaven, earth, and hell? Again, I'm not "emo" or "in danger of killing myself", I'm just a teenage girl searching for answers in this crazy world. I want to know, I want to help. I can't be a bystander, not when countless innocent children are being abused at this very second. Not when a child is wondering when the next time they're going to eat is. We have our own trivial problems/concerns. Some teenage girls will break down crying if they even catch a glimpse of Justin Bieber, but they refused to shed a simple tear for an innocent child dying of a terminal disease. Cameron, what's wrong with us? Some teenagers are pouring their hearts out to God hoping Demi Lovato can cope with her asthma, yet some of us won't spend a moment to help the children suffering in America. We talk about poor children being starved in 3rd world countries, yet the worse abuse/hunger cases happens in America. Do you know how horrible we are? Hypocrites. Cameron, what's wrong with us? I'm not trying to guilt you into anything. The world is already tainted as it is. I... I just don't know anymore, Cameron.
