Curse of the Imprint

[Skarlet's POV]

It has been a whole week since she moved to Forks with Carlisle,
leaving her past and everything behind it. After losing her family,
she was blessed with a new one. Skarlet is known to be the baby
of the family and after a few days she started to loosen up. Immediately
after she did, everyone enjoyed her company more. Skarlet was no longer shy,
and very quickly started to adapt to her new life.

"Hey Skarlet, would you like to join Alice and I? We are
going over to Bella's house." Edward asked peeking into her room.

Much to everyone's surprise, Skarlet has been controlling her
urge for blood a lot faster than normal new borns. Although when they
hunted she went crazy for her thirst, just as they would have expected.
Feeling it was safe to invite her, thanks to Alice who said things would be
okay if Skarlet ventured out of the house.

"Yeah sure, I'm pretty excited to finally meet the girl that
has got my brother whipped." she said with a smile.

Laughing at her comment, Edward replied before leaving the room and
rolling his eyes, "I am so not whipped."

"Ah and where is my little one off too?" Carlisle asked, with his arm
around Esme's waist as the three headed down the stairs.

" I'm finally going to meet Bella!"

"Edward are you sure about this?" Esme asked, with a
worried glance to her son.

"Alice said everything is going to be fine. Plus Skarlet
really wants to meet her."

"Yeah Esme, don't worry. She is going to be just fine." Alice added
with a perky smile.

"Okay you two, you both are responsible for her." Carlisle said giving a nudge towards
Skarlet who seemed overly excited.

As the three vampires stepped out of the door, Esme quickly said, "Skarlet dear, please
do not feel tempted to use your power."

"Yes mom." Skarlet replied quickly hurrying to catch up to Edward and Alice.

Esme smiled at her comment, giving a loving look at Carlisle as they watched the two get into Edward's car.

"She called me mom." Esme whispered.

Although she was their mother figure, none of them called her mom, only by her name. So to hear Skarlet
call her thought, it really brightened her day.

"Well, you are her mother now." Carlisle said before planting a kiss on his wife.

Edward and the two girls were almost at Bella's house.
For some reason Skarlet was nervous and
yet very excited. Edward has been telling Skarlet all
about his Bella and how he feel in love with her.
Skarlet laughed when Edward told her that Bella drove him
crazy the first time he saw her at school.

In reality Skarlet hoped to find a love just like theirs, so beautiful and true. But after
her life suddenly changed, she didn't believe she would.

"Don't worry Skar, it took me a hundred years just to find Bella." Edward said as he read her thoughts.

Ashamed, Skarlet completely forgot that he could read her mind.

"Stop reading my mind Edward." She said with a smile.

Soon Edward began to swirve on the road, looking completely in pain.

"Edward?" Alice asked once they stopped the car, in the middle of the road.

Edward didn't say anything as they gripped his hair.

"What is wrong?" Alice asked, looking completely worried.

"My head, its pounding like crazy." he happened to mumble through gritted teeth.

"Oh my gosh, Skarlet!" Alice said, quickly turning to their back seat passenger.

Skarlet looked at her frightened, as Edward continued to groan in pain.

"Skarlet, commanded him to do something!"

Realizing what she had done, Skarlet said quickly, "I take it back."

Suddenly Edward sighed in relief. His major headache soon disappeared. Looking completely
upset with herself, Skarlet glanced down at her lap, too ashamed to look at the older two.

"It is okay Skar, you didn't mean it." Edward said turning back to look at his younger sister.
He placed his hand on hers, trying his best to make her feel better.

"I'm sorry Edward, I didn't realize it." Skarlet whispered.

"Oh sweetie, it is okay. He is fine." Alice said, her turn trying to cheer her up.

Skarlet nodded, but deep down she still felt guilty. She also felt that Edward would be mad at her,
and probably hate her.

"I would never hate you Skar." Edward said, before putting the car into drive.

Skarlet let her mind wonder back to the day she found out her gift.

The day she arrived at the Cullen's house, Carlisle sat them down and explained to her
that some vampires contain a special gift. He mentioned about Alice, Japser, and Edward's
gifts. He then told her how he discovered that she was like the three, special.

"I have been watching over you ever since I turned you, waiting until you woke up.
What I happened to notice was that you talked in your sleep." Carlisle said, as he looked at Skarlet who only smiled, somewhat embarassed.

He then continued, "When you talked in your sleep, you said things or rather commanded. One night you mumbled 'Bring me blood.' and before I could even do anything I found myself out the door hunting against my will."

Confused, Skarlet shifted in her seat.

"You have the power to make people do whatever it is you wish, even if it is against their will,
by simply commanding them.

Skarlet's flashback ended and she heard Edward's voice.

"Oh, no."

"Whats wrong?" Skarlet asked.

"Black is here."

Skarlet looked out her window to find a motorcycle parked next to a red pickup.
