Curse of the Imprint

"How could you go throught with this?" Edward yelled as the Cullens returned
from their meeting.

"What else could we have done? Edward we have to accept this." Carlisle said.

"This is insane, they can't fall in love." Edward whispered, hoping noone
hear him.

"Look,imagine a life without Bella. Although Jacob isn't the choice I would
have liked, things happen for a reason." Carlisle finished, surprisingly
looking the most calm out of all of them.

Skarlet and Bella were in the living room, awaiting their return. From the
looks of things, it probably didn't go well. Edward entered the room in
which the two girls were waiting. The look on his face told them that
something has gone wrong.

"What happened Edward?" Bella asked, walking up to Edward.

"Fate happened." Edward repsonded bitterly.

The restof the Cullen family filed into the room, one after another.
Alice looked upset, which is very rare to see. Rosalie looked rather shocked
than upset, and her boyfriend Emmet has the same expression as Edward, pissed as hell.
Jasper wasn't in the room, which was unfortunate because they needed his power to
calm the heck out of everyone.

"Is anyone going to inform us on what we missed?" Skarlet asked, looking
confused at her family.

Carlisle looked at her and said, "My dear, it seems that you
were destined to be here, although the reason seems rather
strange."

"What do you mean? I am still lost as to what you are talking about."

"Well, it seems rather odd to explain, but the point is, Jacob
Black has imprinted on you Skarlet."

Carlisle looked at his new daughter, trying to read her reaction
which at the moment still had confused written all over. Although the
reaction from Bella was priceless, as she stood there with her jaw dropped.

"So you mean I'm like a target now? He is going to come after me?" she asked.

"Probably not the way you are thinking but something like that."

"Oh my gosh he is going to kill me!"

Her expression sent a few smiles her way.

"No Skar, when a werewolf imprints on you, it means that you two
are destined to be together. Unfortunately it is something that
they can't control." Edward told her.

"That wolf boy at Bella's house?"

"Yes."

"You're kidding right? Haven't you told me that
although we fight together we are still natural
born enemies?" Skarlet asked, for once looking
completely scared.

"Its the reason why we are pretty bothered right now."

Skarlet still couldn't believe it. Everything seemed so great before
they went to visit Bella. She felt this wasn't fair. Why can't she
be given the chance to find her own love? This was just too much for her,
this new life, new family, new friend, and now.....a new problem?
Skarlet actually despised the wolf boy. After all the stories
Edward has told her about him, what is not to hate about the guy?

The main reason as to why she hated Jacob Black, was because he
was created to kill her kind.

[Jacob's POV]

How could this happened? Why must it always be him to be cursed.
He loses the girl he cares for to a vampire, and yet by sheer
fate he imprints on one.

After the talk with Sam, Jacob has been awaiting the day when he
finally imprints on someone. Noone would have ever guessed it would
be the very next day, to the very beings he has be created to hunt
and kill. Back at Bella's house Jacob had no idea what was
happening to him. After running back home and explaining to his father
the pain that he was enduring, he would have never guessed that
this is what happens when he imprints.

Jacob remembered the moment he got home.

"It burns! What is happening to me?" he asked his
father as he layed on the living room floor in agony.

"When did this start?" His father asked, urgently.

"Back at Bella's house." Jacob yelled, as the pain continue
to surge through his body.

"Son! Who were you looking at when this happened?"

Jacob looked at his father confused. Why would it matter
who he was looking at before the burning sensation
flooded through his body?

"The new born! The Cullens broke the treaty! They
created another one of them." he whispered, clenching his fists.
The pain, the fire inside was just to much to handle. Soon
Jacob blacked out. Billy had called Jacob's friend Embry
to bring his son up to his room.

Billy asked, "What is Sam going to do about this
situation?"

"He is right now with the pack, at the border, waiting for
the cold ones." Embry answered.

"Lets go now."

A few hours after returning back to the house, Jacob
woke from the noise downstairs. It seemed the wolf
pack was at his house. Jacob sat up on his bed.
Surprised that the burning has slowed down, it was
still present, but very faint.

Jacob then got up and headed downstairs, to
see what the comotion was all about.

"What is going on?" he asked.

Everyone looked up at him, surprised to see
him standing there, looking almost completely normal.

His friends all looked at him sadly, like someone
died or something. Soon Sam stood up and
started to explain about the burning sensation.
He then told Jacob about the meeting they
had earlier with the Cullens.

"You're kidding me right? This is some kind of joke
you all planned?" Jacob asked, not believing anything they
were telling him.

[End of Flashback]

It is plain to see, that the wolf boy himself was in deep denial.
Now he sat back in his room, thinking about everything that has
happened to him within the last 24 hours. There is no possible
way that he can fall for a blood sucking cold hearted girl. He told himself
that he will fight this imprint. He will not let his pack or his father down
by falling for one the 'them'. Jacob Black will no longer
be the joke. He would rather kill her than to fall in love with her.

Little does he understand the true power of the imprint, the
true power of falling in love.
