“So how was it?”

“It sucked dude”, I said taking the blunt in my hand placing it to my lips inhaling the smoke into my lungs before blowing in out in Travis face. “I fucking have to work dude it sucked!”

“At least I don’t have to do it”, Halvo said with a laugh as passed on the blunt without hitting it. “Any hot babes?”

“Dude he’s like working at a fucking hospital hot babes don’t work there.”

“Only ugly girls do”, Megan said with a smile before taking a hit and blowing the smoke in my face trying to be sexy.

I looked over at her annoyed as she pressed her lips against mine. I gladly kissed back letting her tongue slide against mine. I pulled away before taking the blunt from her hand and pressing it to my lips.

“There are a couple of hot girls”, I said with a smirk looking over at a pissed off Megan. “And Halvo your girl works there.”

“Which girl?” he asked with a grin. “I mean I have so many.”

“Alison Jacobs.”

“That ugly bitch”, Megan said with an annoyed look on her face. “She dresses so old and is like fat.”

“She’s not fat you hoe!” Eric yelled with a laugh. “She’s actually really pretty. Not that like I want to bone her hot, but like damn I want to bone you and then keep you around. You’re not used to that huh Megan?”

“Fuck you Halvo.”

“Nah, I’ll just leave that to every other guy.”

“Relax”, I said with a laugh earning myself a dirty look from Megan. “But Alison isn’t that bad looking. She’s too much of a prude and kind seems fake nice, definitely not my type of girl.”

“You prefer the sluttier girls, am I right?!” Jared said putting up his hand with a laugh.

We just all started to laugh as Megan got up from where she was and walked out of the room. I just let her walk out; I didn’t feel like dealing with her shit.

“But Sophie was there”, I said looking over at Moose who just grinned. “I think I’m into the Asian persuasion.”

“Stay away JohnO.”

“It’s a joke; I know how much you like her man.”

“Not to be a fag or anything but I think she’s way cute.”

“She is, she’s super chill too. Get at it!”

“I’m trying man; she’s not one of those easy girls so I actually have to work for it.”

“Those are always the best.”

“I never had to work for my girls”, I said with a smirk as they all laughed. “But then again, you know.”

They just laughed as they handed me back the blunt. I took another two hits before getting up from where I was. They all looked at me and I just rolled my eyes and pointed out to where Megan walked out. I saw her standing there with her arms crossed looking beyond pissed. I just took a deep breath before wrapping my arms around her waist pulling her into me.

“You’re an asshole JohnO.”

“I know.”

She turned around so she could face me a stern look on her tanned face. I looked into her green eyes and then down to her thin pink lips. I leaned in and gave her a soft kiss, still holding on to her hips. She pulled away with her hands on my chest looking at me, still angry. I gave her a wide smile and start to notice a change in her eyes.

“That smile isn’t going to get you out of this.”

“Sure it is”, I said attaching my lips to her neck, kissing softly.

I let my lips press against her skin, sucking softly as her hands moved up into my hair tugging at it. I smirked in her skin making her let out a small moan. I pulled away with a satisfied smile.

“I can’t believe you’re going out with him.”

“It’s just dinner”, I said looking over my shoulder to see a very pissed off best friend. “I don’t
know why you hate the guy so much?”

“He’s a total dick.”

“Language”, I said as she rolled her eyes with a laugh. “He’s nice.”

“He’s a dick AJ.”

“He really isn’t”, I said turning around to face her. “What makes him such a bad guy?”

She looked over at me with an annoyed look on her face before shaking her head. She didn’t have an answer so I just smiled.

“Plus try and find the good in people. I thought Moose or Max whatever his name is was going to be a jerk and I think he’s a really nice guy.”

“That’s different.”

“How?”

She stayed quiet once again before throwing her body back into my bed with a loud sigh. Before sitting back up with a smirk, and I knew this was bad news.

“Let’s go on a double date.”

I looked over at her confused before nodding my head with a smile. That would make this even less awkward for me. I watched her jump up with excitement with phone in hand dialing those numbers. I could see the happiness in her eyes; she really liked this guy so that means I really liked this guy. I walked out of my room and saw my Dad and Mom sitting on the couch watching TV.

“And where do you think you’re going tonight?”

“To dinner.”

“With whom?”

“Sophie and Damon”, I said as I watched both of their faces turn from anger to a smile.

“Oh okay honey, have fun tonight”, my Dad said looking back at the TV.

“Did you need money for tonight?”

“No, I think I have it.”

I looked over at them before walking back up the stairs with the water bottle I grabbed from the counter. I opened the door and saw Sophie standing there with a smile on her face as she looked at herself in the mirror.

“So he’s with John and his girlfriend and the three of them are going to meet us at the
restaurant.”

“So a triple date?”

“I guess so.”

I just nodded my head before sitting back down on the couch. When I heard the doorbell ring, I looked over at Sophie who just rolled her eyes. I couldn’t help but to smile, I thought it was adorable and she thought it was such a kiss ass thing to do. I looked at myself in the mirror once more. I looked at my blue eyes and light brown hair. I just gave a shrug before walking down the stairs. Damon gave me a smile but that smile faded once he saw Sophie.

“Change of plans, I’m coming with you”, she said as she walked past him to the direction of his Lexus parked out front.

“Bye guys have fun tonight.”

I looked over at Damon as he shook my father’s hand and walked out with me. He looked over at me confused and looking kind of mad.

“You know when you ask someone on a date, that usually means just them.”

“Well Sophie brought up double date and I couldn’t say no to her.”

“So it’s not just going to be us three?”

“I think it’s going to be six of us.”

“Great”, he said forcing a smile before opening the door for me.

“What about me?”

“Have your date do it for you”, I heard him say.

Once he got in the car he gave me a smile before driving off. I laid back in his car as Sophie did last minute touches on her makeup. She didn’t need the makeup though, she had beautiful skin. We walked into the restaurant, I watched as Damon tried to hold my hand but I pulled it away from him. Holding hands in public was always an awkward thing for me. We took our seats and just sat there, Damon was staring down Sophie and Sophie was doing the same.

“Did you get stood up, because if you did I can call you a cab? I’ll even pay for it”, he said with a smile.

“Don’t be rude”, I said looking over at Damon before giving Sophie a smile.

“He’s here anyways.”

I looked up and saw Max standing there with a smile on his face. I looked over to the right of his and saw John standing there with his blond girlfriend that I remembered in high school. Megan was captain of the cheerleading squad and has always been mean to me. The four of them walked over to us smile on all of their faces except John; it looked like he didn’t even want to be here. When his eyes met mine, and then rolled over to Damon I saw a weird expression on his face.

“Jailbreak, how are you?”

“Hey Max”, I said with a smile grabbing him into a hug. “I’ve been good. How about you?”

“Better now”, he said looking over at Sophie with a grin, I couldn’t help but to smile as he went to sit down next to her planting a kiss on her now rosy cheek.

“AJ you remember John and Megan.”

“Hi”, I said with a smile.

“Hey Alison”, John said with a smile before sitting down across from me.

“Hey”, Megan said looking me up and down.

“John, my man”, Damon said putting out his hand.

I looked over at him oddly as John shook his hand with a smile. Damon gave me a smile before wrapping an arm around my shoulders. We all sat there talking, some more than others. I looked up at John and saw him give me a smile before looking over at Damon with a strange look.

“Hey I’ll see you tomorrow man.”

“For sure”, John said shaking Damon’s hand. “Sophie you going with them?”

“Nah she’s coming with us”, Max said wrapping an arm around her.

I gave her a smile before feeling Damon’s arms being wrapped around me and a kiss being planted on my cheek.

“Good night”, I said with a smile as I turned around in the direction Damon was going.

I leaned back in his car as he drove off. We got to my house and like the gentleman he is he got of the car and walked me to my door. I gave him a smile as we stood there unsure of what to do.

“Thank you for dinner.”

“You’re welcome”, he said with a smile grabbing both of my hands in his. “We should do it again, soon?”

I nodded my head with a smile as he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my cheek. I looked up at him, searching in his beautiful eyes and smiled. I opened the door to my house and got in. My heart beating out of my chest and that feeling in my stomach that made me think I just maybe have a crush on him.
