Healing Hands
Despite the negative comments that I have received about my career, I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. Massage Therapy is what I love to do. It’s the one thing that I could do every single day and not complain once about.
When people, mainly men, hear that I’m a Massage Therapist, their minds immediately get the wrong idea and think of the other services that someone who isn’t a licensed professional would offer. I admit that it bugs me when someone makes a sexual comment about it but it doesn’t take away my love for it.
I just love knowing that I’m helping someone with my work. I love being able to increase a person’s range of motion and seeing their reaction when they can lift their arm or leg just a little bit higher. Seeing the relaxed expression and smile on their faces after a session or hearing them go on about how great they felt days later is what makes me love what I do.
It’s a great feeling to know that I’ve helped someone feel a little bit better than when they walked through the door an hour ago.
