So, I Love My Best Friend

So, I Love My Best Friend Chapter 9

“Can you do my math homework?” he asked me handing me his worksheet.
“Sure,” I said taking it and looking it over. “As long as you do my chemistry,”
“Deal” he said reaching over to grab my homework.
“You smell good,”
“Thanks,” he said. “Rose really likes this cologne,”
“I like it too,”
“I should wear it more often,” he said smiling.
I rolled over on my back and sighed. “So, how are things between you two?”
“Pretty good. She’ll be mine in no time,”
I rolled my eyes. “Great,”
“Why don’t you like her?” he asked concerned.
Because you do I thought. “I never said I didn’t and I never said I did,”
“I know you way to well,”
I rolled over and got off my bed. “She’s just one of those girls that I’m not a fan of. Yeah, she’s cool, I guess, but, that’s how far as I go. Remember most girls don’t like me,”
I grabbed my laptop and opened it.
“Why?”
“I’m friends with you, really good friends with you. They always think something else of it,”
He rolled his eyes. “I want you guys to be friends at least,”
“Why?”
“My best friend and my girlfriend need to be friends that’s why,” he said as I logged into my email.
“Fine,” I sighed as I scrolled through. “I hate facebook. That’s all the mail I ever get,” I said as I logged into my facebook account.
“You’re life is so hard,” he said patting my cheek.
I rolled my eyes and looked at the screen.
A friends request from Jerry?
I accepted it and moved on.
“So, are you staying for dinner?” I asked.
“I was hoping I could take you out,”
I smiled. “As long as you pay,”
“When is that the deal?”
“Since I became broke,” I smiled.
“Right,” he said. “We’ll leave at six,”
“Sounds lovely,” I said.

“Honey, I’m home!” I called.
“Okay,” my mom yelled from her room.
I made my way upstairs and into my room.
I turned on my computer and got for bed.
My phone buzzed and I answered it.
‘I’m coming over tomorrow’ Tiffany texted.
I told her okay and went back to my computer.
I logged into facebook and Jerry was on.
‘Hey beautiful’ he said
I rolled my eyes. ‘What do you want’.
‘We have to talk about this double date thing’ he replied.
‘Right. How about Saturday night’.
As I waited for his reply I brushed my teeth and washed my face.
When I got back he said okay.
‘Great’ I said as I waited for him to continue his reply. The chat box said he was still writing something.
I waited for what seemed like hours.
‘are you writing a novel’ I asked.
‘I was just thinking that we should act like we like each other so when we do drop the boom people can expect it. Get it? And my spacebar was sticking…’
I rolled my eyes.
‘Whatever, but in math class, I hate you,’
‘Sounds like a plan’ he said
‘Bye’
‘night lover’
I rolled my eyes and signed off.
I grabbed my phone and got in bed.
Shortly afterward Chauncey texted me goodnight and I slowly fell asleep.
