Fairytales and Nightmares
Scream
Everything was on fire.
I stood in the collapsing house, wood beams crashing on me and smoke threatening to suffocate me. Thousands of people ran past as blurs; civilians and vampires and demons. It was chaos.
I saw none of that.
My one reality was already broken.
I heard someone scream. A piercing, painful, inhumane scream. The world shifted under me. My soul ripped into pieces. My vision tinted in red. So much pain. The scream went on and on. I wanted it to stop. I wanted the pain to stop. I wanted everything to stop. I wanted to die.
Darkness.
The next time I woke up, I was in Hell.
