I Didn't Know I Was Related to You...
The Hospital visit
I followed the guys to some house where they all but dragged someone who looked like Brian out before making our way to the hospital. The curiosity was killing me. Matt’s words kept echoing in my mind “you’ll find out soon enough”. Pulling into the hospital parking lot we all got out and headed towards the door. Walking up to the front desk the receptionist/nurse looked up at us.
“How can I help you” She asked
“We need to get a DNA test done regarding relations- mainly brother and sister twins to be specific” Matt told her
“Okay well I’ll need the siblings in question to fill out these forms so I can send them to the doctor” She said handing him two different tablets
“Thank you” Matt said taking them and handing them to Brian and I. That’s when he looked at me; His eyes widening.
“Why does she look like me?” He asked as we made our way to some chairs to sit down
“That’s why we’re here dumbass” Matt said
“Hey no name calling its my birthday” he said
“Dude you sound like a girl” I said filling out the forms
“Do not” He said
“Do to” I said
“Do not” He said
“Do to” I said
“Do not” He said
“Do not” I said hoping he would fall for it
“Do to” He said “hey you tricked me”
I laughed my ass off to the point I was crying
“And to think I thought you were intelligent enough to not fall for that” I said wiping my eyes
“I like her” Johnny said
After filling out the forms we handed them back to the nurse who sent them back to the doctor. Then we waited. After what seemed like hours even though it was only like 20 minutes the doctor came out.
“Cameron Chadwick and Brian Haner” He called
We got up and followed him leaving the others to wait for us
“So I understand you need a DNA test done to determine whether or not your related to each other” He said
“Yes” We said together giving each other a look
“Okay so I’ll get a nurse in here to draw some blood” He said before walking out and leaving us alone together
A few minutes of silence later a nurse walked in to draw our blood
“So who’s going first?” She asked looking at the two of us
“I’ll do it” I said shrugging
“Okay” She said coming to my side and making me sit down on the bed. She rubbed the skin with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol before she grabbed the needle she was going to poke into my arm.
“Okay so you’ll feel a little pain and a little pinch” She said before carefully inserting the needle in my arm and drawing out the needed amount of blood. She bandaged it up and then told Brian he was next.
“Okay so same thing I told her you’ll feel a little pain and a little pinch” She said
She drew his blood and bandaged him up and then proceeded to tell us that she would get them to the lab so they should be tested right away because she assumed we would want to know today not next week.
We nodded and followed her out as she led us back to the lobby. She assured us that in about an hour we would know the results possibly sooner.
Let’s just hope it’s sooner I don’t know how much longer I could wait.
