I Didn't Know I Was Related to You...

We both stared in shock at what we saw. It was Jimmy sitting next to us like it was nothing and an everyday thing. Our mouths were hanging open like we wanted to say something but couldn’t because it was like the words were trapped in our throats. It was such a surreal moment. Jimmy was giving us a funny look like he was wondering why we were looking at him they way we were.

“Guys? Are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost or something” He said

We didn’t say anything. What was going on? How was he here? Why is he asking us if we’ve seen a ghost when he should be one?

“Hello? Earth to the look alikes which is kinda creepy but cool at the same time” He said waving a hand in front of our faces

Blinking rapidly didn’t help anything he was still there when I opened my eyes which had since filled with tears.

“Hey I didn’t mean to make you cry. Come on please don’t cry! Here a hug always solves everything” He said pulling me up and wrapping his solid arms around me

I was in so much shock that I didn’t hug back right away. A few seconds passed and I finally got my brain to register that I needed to lift my arms. I wrapped them around him tightly for fear that if I let go it would all be a dream and Jimmy would be gone again. I don’t know if anyone else noticed he was here or not but when they did boy were they in for a shock. Crying into Jimmy’s shirt I clung to him like a lifeline. I heard small sobs behind me and gently lifted my head to see Brian with tears trailing down his face.

“Okay why is everyone crying? It’s like someone died or something” Jimmy said keeping an arm around me

I looked up at him with wonder. How is this possible? Did he not know or was it by some miracle that he somehow came back after about 6 months? That was when Johnny came over to us with a weird look on his face.

“Why are you guys crying?” He asked

Brian and I gave each other a look. Johnny couldn’t see him. How was it possible that Brian and I could see him and Johnny couldn’t.

“Um…we are…” I started

“Just so happy to be back together that we got emotional” Brian finished hurriedly wiping his eyes

“Yea what he said” I said coping his motions

“You guys are weird” He said turning away

“And you aren’t?” Jimmy said from beside me

“Who said that? It didn’t sound like either of you” Johnny said turning back around

“It was me my voice just sounds funny because I was crying” Brian said

“Okay whatever you say gates” He said walking away

“That was a close one” I said

“You can say that again” Brian said

“Why didn’t he talk to me? Or do anything?” Jimmy asked

“Because he can’t see you” Brian and I said together

“Can’t see me what are you talking about?” Jimmy asked

“Jimmy your dead I don’t even know how we can see you” Brian said

“Way to sugarcoat it Brian” I said slapping his arm

“Well I know that I’m dead but you should all be able to see me” Jimmy said

“What?” We asked

“I said I know that I’m dead but you should all be able to see me” He said

“We know what you said” I started

“We just don’t understand how it could be possible that you’re here and we’re the only ones who can see you” Brian finished

“Is there a reason your finishing each others sentences?” He asked

“Were twins” I started

“It comes in the job description” Brian finished again

“Freaky but really fucking cool!!” He said excitedly

“Same old Jimmy” We said together chuckling

“Now how do we go about getting everyone else to see me?” He asked of no one in particular rubbing his chin

“That’s a good question” we said
