I am. It's a seemingly simple sentence, just a pronoun and a verb. By themselves, the two words aren't all that significant. Put them together, and they combine to make a sentence with countless implications. There is no additional information provided. The person in context will be just a fabrication of the reader’s mind. The reader, with the power of his or her own imagination, creates countless scenarios in his or her head and forms numerous questions, all stemming from a easily comprehensible sentence. There's nothing multifarious about the sentence "I am". The human mind craves information. The sentence "I am" is so vague that it sparks a plethora of theories of what this person is. This person is a football playing king in space. This person is a leader. This person is eccentric. This person is fully aware of the allusion I made to SpongeBob SquarePants. One assumption leads to multiple assumptions, and then to an entire back story, a complex theory about the person in question, and the reader has yet to meet this person.
