Stuck in the Moment. Dead at the Scene.

We finally got to my house and I noticed that Wednesday's car was in the drive way. Nick parked the car and we both got out.

I opened the front door and was attacked by Zoie, Wednesday's daughter.

"Hey, girlie." I said. "You've gotten so big."

"Hi. I missed you Hadley." Zoie said. I smiled.

Wednesday pulled her off of me.

"Roxy, hey." I said hugging Roxy.

Nick followed me to the couch. My dad was sitting next to Wednesday on the floor and they we're playing Halo 3.

"So when is dinner?" I asked.

"When everyone gets here." Dad replied throwing down his controlling.

"Who all is coming?"

"My family basically. My mom is coming too. She flew in this morning."

"YAY!!" I replied. I did my happy dance and Nick looked at me funny.

"What?" I asked.

He just bit his lip and shook his head.

I grabbed Nick's hand and pulled him from the couch. We started walking up the stairs.

"Keep your door open." Wednesday called. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah Yeah" I replied.

"Your room is cool." Nick said as we walked into my room.

"Why thank you. Dad help me decorate it."

"You want to watch a movie?" I asked.

"Sure."

"Mkay. What do you want to watch?" I asked walking over to my shelf of DVDs. Nick walked over and stood next to me.

"How about Vacancy?"

"Okay." I got the DVD out of the case and put it into the player. The movie came on and I got comfortable next to Nick.

The next thing I know, I'm asleep in his arms.
