Who Would've Known?

Chapter 3- November 22, 2010

It had been a week since my encounter with Mr. Henry Potts.

No calls. No contracts. No nothing.

I was lying in bed listening to music as my mind wandered off.

"Lori!" Ross squealed as he plopped on my bed.

I rolled my eyes, smiled to myself, and sat up.

"What's up?"

"You got something in the mail." he revealed a heavy envelope and tapped my knee with it.

"Oh my goodness!" I squealed.

I opened the brown envelope gingerly, and slid a few papers out of it and onto my bed.

"Is this from the casting dude you talked about last week?" Ross asked with wide eyes.

"Patience my young padawan." I cooed.

On my bed lay an audition form with blanks waiting to be filled out and signed. There also lay a couple sheets stapled together with directions from the school to the exact building for the audition. Beside that, was a packet of lines and a CD in a clear plastic case. I picked it up and read the hand written note at the top.

"Study over these lines. Blow us away! -H. Potts"

I smiled and lay back, flipping through the pages.

Meanwhile, Ross was looking at the papers left on the bed.

"You should get mom and dad to sign these so you don't forget."

"Can you bring it down for me? I want to start working on these lines."

"Sure." Ross stood up and picked up the papers and read the paper on top.

"Lori?" Ross asked. "You know when the audition is right?"

"No. Does it say?"

He gulped and looked at me with wide eyes.

"What?" I asked hiding my panic.

He handed me the page on top of the pile in his hands. while biting his bottom lip.

I looked at the last paragraph.

"The audition will be held on November 22, 2010."

My eyes grew wide instantly as I looked at my iTouch.

I sat up quickly and screamed.

"IT'S TOMORROW."
