Crestfallen Woman and the Plague

"Well cuz, we thought we'd give you the night off since it's here in Phoenix and well, we know you love the guys so much,"

Matt Berry teased his cousin, Gwen. Of course, Jason couldn't help but get in a little on the teasing as well. It was in his nature after all.

"Yeah, we know you have such a huge horny crush on all of them!"

Hearing that, the four men of Avenged, minus myself, started picking at Gwen as well. I was the more reserved one of the band. I didn't really talk as much as Matt, Brian, Zack and Johnny.. I was more behind the scenes. But sometimes, if I got close enough to the person, or the person made an effort to get close to me, then hell yeah; I would definitely open up like a can of worms.

I watched as Shadz plopped down on the couch next to Gwen and put an arm around her, grinning. He couldn't help but ask,

"Who's your favorite member?"

He licked over his lips while still grinning that infamous Shadows grin of his. I watched this and couldn't help but feel rather.. well, what's the word for it? RAWR? Yeah, that was it. I felt RAWR. Larry had told all five of us that there would be NO DATING THE NEW MERCHANDISE GIRL. Jason and Matt had told us that also since that was their cousin. Hell, we looked at the Berry boys as family, so wouldn't that make Gwen family too?

I can't blame my singer for trying, Gwen was beautiful. A knock out. Definitely too beautiful to be working for us. Hell, she ought to be working for Metallica or something.. We didn't deserve this. We were hardly a big mainstream band. I mean our first real big record had just now came out. Shouldn't she be coming along four years from now, not today?

I didn't know. I just stayed quiet and watched the others mingle with her. I watched Shadz flirt, I watched Brian try and give her "exclusive" guitar lessons. Zacky of course said he was the better guitar man and tried to swoon Gwen his way. Then I heard my bassist come up with the greatest line of all, which would sound better coming from a drummer,

"C'mon, let me bang you like I bang my instrument."

Johnny teased at Gwen with a slight husky purr to his higher than usual for a male voice. I was glad about one thing...though Gwen was laughing and smiling, it seemed like she wasn't exactly into them as much as they thought she was. It seemed maybe...the Berry's had exaggerated that. Or maybe... maybe it was because I wasn't over there trying to get in her pants.. I didn't know.

We had at last pulled up outside of the Phoenix venue, where we'd be playing. We would have a merch booth and meet-n-greet but it wouldn't be ran by Gwen tonight, or at least that's what Matt Berry said. Apparently tonight was a night to celebrate her getting the job and for her to get to know us guys. I was great with that, but, I was the shy one. I wouldn't be getting to know her much anyway.

Everyone filed off the bus and I noticed it was pretty much Gwen and I left, other than a bodyguard. I smiled a little, playing with my labret piercing like I did quite a lot, especially when nervous or anxious or super happy.

"Ladies first,"

I said softly since we were both at the door, ready to get off. I wouldn't ever be rude enough to a woman as to go in front of her, unless she absolutely insisted. I tried my best to be a gentleman. Compared to my four pig band-mates.

Watching her as she stepped off, I couldn't help but gaze at her backside. Like I said, she was a knock out. Perfectly proportion. Perfect curves. Perfect skin color, eyes, hair, lips... Definite UMF worthy. I could pelvic thrust to that all night long seriously.

"Excited?"

I asked her as we walked sort of together into the arena. I bet fans would see her and think she was a new girlfriend, not a merch girl. I couldn't wait for the speculations...they were going to be interesting to say the least. The fans just didn't know about our little rule called NO DATING THE MERCHANDISE GIRL.

I wondered if that sucked for her as much as it sucked for the five of us guys? Hmmm....
