Only in Death

Her stepbrother found her the next morning when she didn't wake up for school. After several futile attempts to wake her up, he screamed for help, for someone to call the police.

The paramedics attempted to revive her on the way to the hospital and the doctors in the emergency room attempted to pump her stomach, but to no avail. She had been dead for hours.

She had a small funeral where people who hardly knew her shared stories of how great a person she had been and what a tragedy her death was. But she had finally achieved the thing she hadn't been able to in life: she had made a statement loud enough that everyone heard it.
