Nerds Need Love Too

It's been two days since I talked to Valora. We have been moving around the house like ghosts and I refuse to talk to her. After I got home that day I stayed in the gym till it was time for me to go to school she was trying to talk to me but I ignored her and drove to school. Im currently in the guest bedroom trying to write a paper on Hamlet

"Hey" I hear Ryan's voice

I wave at him but keep focused on my homework. He sits in the chair next to mine

"Still haven't talked to her?" He asked

He already knows the answer to that question. I didnt go to study hall anymore and when I would pass one of her classes she would watch me

"Man it's been two days. She wont eat and everytime I see her she looks awful and tired. She won't talk to Haley which is making her sad and look awful and I'm around both of them and it's very depressing" He said rubbing his head

I put my paper down finally and looked over at him

"How would you feel if Haley got mad because you didnt want to go to study hall one day and she throws a fit and says your always going to the lazy Ryan we all know" I asked

He shrugged

"I would be pissed" He said simply

I nodded and picked my paper back up

"Alright man. Don't keep this up too long I would like to see my girlfriend smile again" He said patting my shoulder

I nodded and went back to working. When it was finally done I walked out to the kitchen but I heard talking

"He hates me I know he does. He sleeps downstairs and won't even look in my direction" I heard Val sobbing

I didnt hear anyone's voice

"No I havent slept or eaten. Haley is upset cause I wont talk to her but what can I do" She said back sobbing more

I smacked myself I didn't want her to be like this. I walked in the kitchen on to see her balled up on the floor next to the fridge. When she saw me she hung up the phone and got up to leave

"Val come back" I said softly

She turned around and stood there with her head down. i walked over to her and lifted her chin up

"I don't hate you" I said

She wrapped her arms around me and cried in my chest. I picked her up and brought her into the guest bedroom and laid her down next to me on the bed. She cried and cried and cried and all I did was rub her back and try to calm her down

"You don't want to marry me anymore" She said softly

I moved back so I was looking in her eyes

"Of course I still want to marry you" I said rubbing her cheek

She wiped her face and shook her head

"You don't want to marry some whiney brat who throws fits when she dosent get her way" She said softly

I rubbed her cheek and huffed

"You don't want to marry some anti social nerd who knows nothing" I said softly

She nodded

"Yes I do that's why I like you so much. You don't aways want to be around people and you can just sit at home and be fine with that" She mummbled

I smiled

"Well I like you so much because when you want somthing you will do what you want to get it. Even if it means throwing a fit or two" I said

She looked up at me

"Your just saying that" She said softly

I chuckled at her and shook my head

"No there are lots of other reasons why I like you. That is one of the main ones" I said looking at her bloodshot blue eyes

She blinked

"Like what?" She asked snuggling closer to me

I pulled a cover over her

"Well you beautiful for one" I said pushing a stray hair out of her face

She chuckled

"I look awful now and my eyes are gonna be puffy" She was poking her eye

I shook my head

"Your always beautiful to me. Your smart, funny, and everyone seems to like you so much" I said

She yawned and rubbed her eyes

"Go to sleep Blue" I said rubbing her back

She nodded

"Don't leave please. Just stay " She said grabbing my shirt

I nodded and got closer to her. She took of my glasses and put them behind me on the table. She laid down and looked at me

"Go to sleep I wont leave" I said

She grabbed my hand and I felt her ring

"I never take it off" She said

I kissed her nose. She wrinkled it and smiled

"Nite Kai" She closed her eyes

I think I love my girlfriend
