Nerds Need Love Too

The week leading up to the engagement party have been so stressful. Val and I have been going and doing so much and we have barely seen Ryan and Haley

"Kai we gotta go to dance class" Val said from the bathroom

I covered my face with pillows and groaned. My parents got home early and my mother had set all this up. I felt Val laying on me

"Hunny please get up I don't wanna go either" She said softly

I pulled the blankets off my face and saw her blue eyes looking down at me. She leaned down and kissed me softly

"Ok people lets go" my mother said loudly

Val got off of me and pulled the blankets off of me. I got out of bed and went to brush my teeth when I finished that I got dressed in basketball shorts and a t shirt

"Val where are my glasses?" I asked

She came in the closet and put them on my face. She smiled and pulled my hand and dragged me downstairs to the garage. My parents got Val an all black Lexus she loved it. We drove in silence

"I can't wait for this to be over" She said softly rubbing her eyes

I nodded. My mother had us going so much Val and I have been so tired and we just come home do homework and sleep. Val's phone rang which was connected to the car

"Hello?" Val said softly

We heard a sigh

"Haley I know" Val said softly

We heard a huff and we knew it was Ryan

"Kai your mom sucks man no offence" Ryan said

I laughed

"It's cool I know she does. You guys will see us tommrrow and the next day we will skip school and chill all day" I said moving my hair out of my face

Haley giggled

"Mkay guys we gotta go. love you both" Val said

Haley and Ryan yelled they loved us and we got out of the car. Val took my hand and we were in front of a dance teacher. It was a small russian lady named Vivian who always hits me with a ruler

"Kai and Valora come" she said

We followed her into a big room full of mirrors

"Your engagement party is tommrrow are you two excited?" She asked with her thick accent

I nodded and Val smiled wide

"I got the perfect dress and I can't wait to see Kai's face. And my new ring" she said excited hugging me

I laughed and rubbed her head. Vivian started the music and we got in our positions

"We are going to partice the waltz since Kai cant keep his form" Vivian said

I rolled my eyes and we began dancing. Val loved coming here and she knew I hated it.The dance class was two hours and I was so tired

"Come on baby lets go have lunch with Ry and Hale" Val said holding my hand

I nodded and we drove over to Haley's house. Val opened the front door and pulled me upstairs to Haley's room

"Open up now!" Val yelled

We heard a thump then feet running over to the door

"Valey!!!!" Haley was in her underwear and jumped on Val

I walked around thoose two and went to go lay down next to Ryan

"Hey there best friend" Ryan said taking my glasses

I waved and closed my eyes. I felt a body on my back

"Hi Kailan!" Haley said happily

Haley made up a nickname for me from some tv show. She took my hand and played with my fingers

"Me and Ryan missed you guys so uberly mucho" Haley said

I laughed and opened my eyes. Val was laying across Ryan's chest with her eyes closed

"Tommrrow is the big day and then it's back to normal till our wedding" i said softly

Haley flipped over and laid her head on my shoulder

"You two look sleepy" Haley said

I nodded. Haley pulled off my shoes and Val's then pulled the blanket back up and laid back on me

"Go to sleep" she said softly

I was already off.

~Val Pov

I woke up and I saw Haley's pink night light lit up. I looked up and I was still across Ryan's chest. I looked over and Haley was laying across Kai's back

"Val?" Ryan touched my head

I nodded and he streched up

"Come on you must be hungry" He said patting my back

I stood up and he grabbed his shirt from next to Haley's bed. I grabbed his arm and we walked downstairs quietly

"You excited for tommrrow?" Ryan asked when we got to the kitchen

I nodded and smiled. I sat at the bar while Ryan went in the fridge

"Im really glad your parents put this arranged marriage together" Ryan said

I gave him a confused look

"Freshman year Kai and i were really close. Then Maryalice came along and fucked everything up. I have been in class with him every year and he just wouldnt talk to anyone. Then this whole thing happened and now we're close again" Ryan said pulling out pizza

I smiled

"Im glad it rekindled your friendship" I said softly

Ryan laughed and heated up two slices

"So are you ready to get married yet?" He asked looking at me

I shrugged

"When I first saw the situation laid out I thought it was an awful horrid idea. Getting married so young couldn't be good but I really love Kai and it's dosent matter if we get married at 18 or 80 im still gonna love him. So yes I'am ready" I said

Ryan smiled and handed me a slice of pizza while he had the other

"Good as long as you two are sure of each other and there are no regrets im happy and I approve" Ryan said taking a bite of pizza

I giggled and ate my pizza too

"How are you and Hale?" I asked

Ryan smiled

"We are good I really like her. And we have been together 3 months in 2 weeks" he said happily

I nodded

"Im happy for you" I said softly

We heard footsteps and Kai walked in with Halely behind him. She walked right over to Ryan and buried her face in his chest

"I woke up and you weren't there" She said softly

He kissed her head and mumbled sorry. She leaned up and kissed his cheek

"Blue" I looked over at Kai and he was smiling

I put my pizza up to his lips and he took a bite. Haley sat on the counter and watched Ryan eat

"What were you two talking about?" Kai asked

I shrugged and looked at Ryan

"Pizza" He said softly winking at me

I giggled an looked at the clock. We had got here at 4:30 and now it was 1:25

"Jeez we slept that long" I said

Kai smiled and pulled me close to him

"It's our engagement party day" He said in my ear

I nodded and look at Haley who winked at me. When Haley and I went dress shopping a few weeks ago we got surprises for the boys

"Yeah what's my surprise?" Ryan asked Haley

Haley giggled and shook her head. Kai turned me to look at him

"Can I know mine?" He asked

I looked in thoose hazel eyes and smiled

"You have to wait hunny" I said poking his nose

He growled and bit my finger. Haley giggled and looked at me

"OOOH Val we can get ready together and the boys can too" she said excited

I nodded but never took my eyes off Kai. He smiled at me

"When do you want to go home? Im sure everyone is freaking out" he said softly

I shrugged and he nodded. Today was going to be the best day ever
