Nerds Need Love Too

I was sitting in the kitchen with my mother and Archie

"Hunny where is Valora?" she asked

I looked around and shrugged. I got up and saw blonde hair run past me

"Hale?" I turned and follwed her till she slamed the bathroom door in my face

I knocked on the door numerous times till she opened the door giving me a death glare

"What Kai?" she asked

Her eyes were all puffy and red. I walked forward and when I was in the bathroom with her I closed the door

"What happened?" I asked

She covered her face with her hands and started to cry

"Ryan messed around with that slut Mary" she said

I huffed and ran a hand through my hair. She sat on the floor and cried harder into her arms

"He said it was before he wanted to date me" she said softly

I walked over grabbed both her arms and pulled her to stand up. She kept her head down

"Haley I know for a fact Ryan cares about you more than anyone he has dated or met. I know you don't know this but im going to tell you any way Ryan's mom died freshman year. It was right before I became closed off. One day I saw him outside sobbing I brought him to my house and I stayed up with him all night." I said sadly

Haley looked up at me in shock

"A few weeks after I never talked to anyone and everytime I looked at him I felt awful. Before his mom died he was full of life and always happy but after he was always at parties and drinking he was never happy. Then he met you and I see the Ryan I use to know the happy one" I said smiling at her

She took a deep breath and hugged me tightly. I rubbed her back and patted her head

"Let's go" I said pulling her

She walked next to me with her head down. We walked into the dining room and everyone was finding thier seats. Val was sitting next to Ryan rubbing his back

"Hey Blue" I said smiling at her

She smiled at me and waved. Ryan looked up and saw Haley next to me

"Hale it's ok" I said softly

She moved and sat across from Ryan and I sat next to her. He kept his eyes fixed on her the whole time

"So we all have heard the news of Val having twins. And we are all going to help as much as we can." my mother said smiling down at us

Val smiled and nodded. We all began eating and chatting around randomly

"Archie I have to tell you somthing" my father began

He looked down at me and then bangged his head on the table. Val laughed out loud

"Dad I already know what you are going to say. Just tell me one thing is she hot?" Archie said

My mother flicked Archie's head and my dad nodded to him

"Oh yes!!!" he said clapping

We all laughed and he looked over at my sisters

"You two are next" my father said softly

They both gave each other a look and then shook thier heads at the same time. Archie laughed

"Im getting weird triplet vibes you two chill out" he said

Ryan gave him a weird look

"That's real?" he asked

Val laughed and nodded

"My nephew's have it down. If you put Kylan and Haden together alone they look at each other for like 10 minutes then they both will just start laughing" she said

Archie laughed

"Whenever one of thoose two is freaking out I get a weird feeling in my stomach. Then when they both argue I get headaches" Archie said

Both girls laughed and shook thier heads again. Archie was staring at boh of them for a second them looked at my father

"Olivia is all for a guy to be good looking and Leona wants a hopeless romantic" he said

I laughed and pointed at both girls

"It's a complete surprise who the person is. I didn't know Val was going to be my wife and she is a popular girl at school im the weird outcast" I said

They rolled thier eyes and went back to eating. When dinner was over we put all the dishes in the sink

"Uhh Hale could I talk to you outside real quick?" Ryan asked softly

She looked up at me and I patted her back. She followed him outside to the backyard

~Ryan POV~

Hale was walking behind me with her head down. I felt so bad now that i hurt her

"I know you are upset but I just want you to listen ok?" I said spinning around

She looked up at me and nodded. I rubbed my neck and took a deep breath

"I only talk about this with Kai but Im sure he told you already. My mother died when I was 14 and it was the most random and awful that could happen. She only went out to get food for my dad and I. 10 minutes was all it took I lost my mother to a crazy hobo who was having a bad day." I stopped and took another breath

I sat down on one of the chairs near me

"After I couldn't look anyone in the eyes and I could never sleep. One day Kai saw me crying and brought me to his house we didnt talk we just sat out here all night. Then he stopped talking to everyone and I hated what they did to him. After that all I did was party and drink and I was never happy" I said looking up at her

She had tears running down her cheeks I pulled her to sit in front of me

"Then Kai started talking again and I had my best friend back and then I met you. I loved how fiesty you and Val were then when we went on the double date you were so cute and happy. You make me happy Hale just everything about you makes me feel like a person again. Being with Mary was nothing and she means nothing you mean everything to me. I would hate to lose you i just wouldn't be able to handle it" I said touching her cheek

She smiled and leaned her face on my hand. I wiped away a few more tears

"I love you Ryan" she said softly

I smiled down and her and kissed her forehead softly

"I love you too Haley" I said softly

She giggled and pulled me down to kiss her.

~Kai POV~

Val and I were peaking out at the patio to see if Haley and Ryan made up

"Well now they are making out on the chair" Val said smiling

I opened the door

"HEY YOU TWO COME ON WE ARE GOING HOME!!!" I shouted

I heard Ryan laugh and pull Haley to stand up. She hugged him and walked next to him

"Aww look at the lovebirds" Val said making kissy faces at Haley

Haley laughed and stuck her tounge out at her. Now everyone was happy
