Nerds Need Love Too

“WHAT!” I scream toward my mother. My father looks shocked by my outburst

“You’re getting married” she repeats

I shake my head swiftly

“Im only 16 I havent had much of a life to just be giving it away now” I said shouting

My father hates when there is a lot of loud noises

“You will stop yelling and calm yourself down. We are going to meet them in a few minutes so go get ready now” he said sternly

I closed my mouth and walked out of the room. When I got to my room I texted Hayley

~Dude my parents are crazy. They are making me get married to some stranger!~

I threw the phone and went to change my clothes. I put on a light green tight dress with ruffles near my chest, I slid on some silver flats. My phone vibrated

~ WHAT!?~ she texted back

I held the phone and went to my dresser, I put on my earings and my love ring plus the neckalace. I walked downstairs and waited in the garage for my parents. When we all got into the car my mother spoke first

“You guys don’t have to do anything till you are both 18. It’s for what’s best Valora” she said

I ignored her and played with my phone. It didn’t take long for us to get their the houses were so huge. I slid out of the car and stood next to it

“Come on Val” my mother waved me over to her

I stood behind both my parents when the door opened a tall man smiled at all of us

“Hello Jack” the man said to my father

My father shook his hand and my mother kissed his cheek. The man finally looked back at me

“Well I havent seen you since my son ate your cake at your first birthday” he said

I made a confused face I have pictures of that. The man stepped back and we stepped into the house. I looked up and saw how high up the skylight was

“Im Carl” the tall man said

I nodded and looked around. Carl walked over to an intercom and spoke in to it

“Son please come say hello” he said almost begging

Something about Carl was familiar he looked like someone I knew

“Come to the kitchen he will be right up” Carl said leading me to a huge kitchen

I sat on a stool and texted Hayley back

“Hel-o” I heard a male voice

I looked up and saw Kai with no shirt and shorts on. He had sweat dripping down his toned stomach and neck. He looeked even sexier without his shirt on

“Hello im Kai” he said wiping his face and putting his glasses on

I got off the stool and almost tumbled face first but Kai’s strong arm caught me

“Sorry im a” I swallowed hard “Valora”

He stood me back up straight and made sure I was up. I looked up at thoose warm brown carmel eyes

“Thanks” I said softly

He smiled down at me then went over to the fridge

“You ok?” he asked

I fixed my dress

“Yeah perfect” I said breathing deeply

This marriage might not be so bad
