“Water?” he asked

I was too busy looking at his back to hear his question

“Hey do you want water?” he asked

He turned toward me and I was looking at thoose hazel eyes. I bit my lip and nodded

“How old are you Valora?” he asked handing me water

I took it and opened it. I liked how he said my name

“16” I said softly

He smiled and chuckled a little bit

“What’s funny?” I asked looking down at my bottle cap

He shook his head

“My father would give me someone younger” he said wiping his neck

I looked up at him he was sitting on the counter near the fridge

“Im sorry about today” I said

He looked over at me then smiled

“It’s fine im use to it I like being anti-social” he said moving his hair out of his face

I giggled

“You’re not being anti-social now” I said

He smiled

“That’s because my mother will scold me if im rude to you. Plus you are in my house” he said

Carl walked in the kitchen with both my parents

“Well I see you two are becoming better accquainted” Carl spoke

Just then Samantha walked into the kitchen

“Valora! Hello sweetheart” she said coming over and hugging me

Kai had a confused look on his face

“How do you know my mother?” he asked

My father answered

“Because your mother and I started the company when you both were babies” he said

Kai nodded his head

“Valora was always in my office playing, when her dad was in meetings” Samantha spoke to Kai

I looked over at my father who was giving Kai a look. Carl cleared his throat

“Kai put some clothes on please” he said

Kai smiled and wagged his eyebrows at me. I bit my lip and looked down at my hands

“I know that look” my mother spoke from across the room

I rolled my eyes and felt a blush rising. Kai came back into the kitchen

“Since Valora is here so we can get to know each other. Lets go in to the den and chat” he said smoothly

Both or our parents nodded. I felt the blush on my cheeks get deeper
