Rude Much?
I instantly felt bad as Kai left the room
“Valora look what you have done” my father said sternly
I rolled my eyes and walked the way I saw Kai go. I went upstairs and saw an open door
“Kai” I said down the hallway
I heard shuffling and went to the room. He was lying across his bed rubbing his head. I knocked on his door
“Yes” he said not looking over at me
I walked in and stood at the foot of his bed. His room was huge the walls were a dark blue but had splatters of grey and his bed had bright red blankets
“Nice room” I said softly
He was still rubbing his head so I continued looking around his room. On the far left corner of his room was a bathroom and his closet was right next to it. He had a small couch in a corner near the door and a flat screen right in front of it
“Any specific reason you’re up here?” he asked
I turned back toward him he was now looking at the ceiling. I shrugged and looked at my feet
“I didn’t mean for it to sound like I didn’t like you or something” I said stumbling over my words
I saw a smile tugging at his lips but he quickly ignored it and looked in my direction
“It’s fine I’m use to not being liked” he said
I mentally slapped myself. I didn’t want him thinking I didn’t like him
“No that’s not what I meant” I said grinding my teeth
He sat up and reached for his glasses
“Say what you mean please I’m sure you want to get back to throwing your fit” he said looking at me
I felt a tug at my chest and my cheeks began to burn
“Nothing Kai. I don’t know what I mean” I said softly before leaving
When I got downstairs my parents were by the front door
“Hunny are you ok?” Samantha asked
I nodded and stood next to my mother. Kai came downstairs and said goodbye to my parents
“Goodbye Valora” he said looking at me before leaving
We said our goodbyes and made our way home
“That went well” my mother said
I felt something hot sliding down my cheek. I was looking down at my hands
“Val” my father spoke
We were in front of the house now and all I wanted to do was go upstairs and sleep. I got out of the car ignoring my parent’s calls and walked swiftly to my room. I took out my phone and saw I had a message
~ So who is the guy?~ Hayley asked
I texted her back
~Kai~
Another tear slid down my cheek. Why was I so upset?
