Memori

I'm sorry

As Aiden headed to the Slytherin common room for their weekly girl's hangout, she couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. The guy that she has been crushing on for so long gave her a poem, obviously meaning to ask her to the end of the month dance. To Aiden, it was pretty obvious that she would accept his invitation.

As she approached the Slytherin common room, she saw Valor and Hermione waiting for her. Thankfully, it wasn't prefect duty night, or else she would have had to join them later. Quickening her pace, she pulled out the envelope from within her cloak, "Look what I have!" she whispered excitedly.

Valor quickly grabbed the envelope from within her grasp, before saying, "You got a poem already?! Lucky."

"Who is it from?" Hermione asked, leaning over Valor's shoulder, in hopes to see a name.

"Guess!" Aiden said with a grin.

"Neville?"

"What? No, I'll give you a hint. He is super cute, he's on the quidditch team, and only everyone that knows me, thinks that we would make a great couple!" Aiden almost yelled, happily.

"Draco?" Her friends replied a little too fast, and very much confused.

"Yes! wait, what the heck! Crap no!" Aiden said, the smile disappearing from her face.

As soon as she replied, Valor and Hermione looked at each other, confused.

"What makes you think I was talking about Malfoy. Hello! We all hate him." Aiden said in a bitter tone.

Hermione shifted uncomfortably. It was strange to see this side of Aiden, one who obviously hates Malfoy more than anyone, not realizing that for the past two years, she was the one madly in love with the guy. It was after all Aiden, who changed the once selfish jackass, into someone they actually grew to like. In all honesty, Hermione and Valor still liked Draco, even though he hurt Aiden and is now a deatheater, they knew he changed. He wasn't the same person that Aiden now thinks of him as. He wasn't the same jerk to them, he didn't go sleeping with all the girls in school, and most importantly, he was still crazy in love with their friend.

"I need to talk to Alex." Hermione said before walking away from the Slytherin common, leaving Aiden confused, and Valor with surprisingly guilt. It was after all her idea to erase Aiden's memories. She was only trying to help.

"Alex? Why?" Aiden called after Hermione, but she just continued to walk away.

"Let's just go inside and wait for her there." Valor said in a low whisper, looking deep in thought, before opening the door to the common room.

The two walked into the room, gladly no one was there at this time of the night. The common room looked the same, dark, cold, and incredibly freaky. The fire from the fireplace was the only light the common room ever had, but still bright enough to see the whole common room.

"Hey, I think I'm just going to wait for Hermione down here, when she comes, we will head up to your room." Aiden said, before flopping onto the couch that was placed in front of the fireplace. Valor, who seemed trapped in her thoughts, simply nodded her head and headed up to her room. Aiden looked at her friend, eye brow raised. Not understanding why her best friends are acting so strange all of a sudden, plus she didn't even tell them who gave her the poem.

Remembering about her poem, she took out the envelope and opened it.

"Aiden,

I gathered and sheltered the feelings within
Sadden by days she shares with him
I wait and wait and still no sign
Help me for her love is blind
She doesn't see that I am here
She passes me by, without a care
For days, I wait, they turn to weeks
Love from her is what I seek.
Within a flash, they turn to years
Once was confident, now its fear
He will hurt her, I know for sure
So I wait, to be with her
Time passed, he played his part
It's my turn to have her heart
It's patience that took for her to see
That love for her should come from me.
I took the task of what is Blue
It's what my heart, craves from you."

Aiden sat there, completely confused. None of it made sense. What is Landon talking about? She reread the letter a couple of times, trying to find different ideas of what it could mean, yet every time she read it, it only had one meaning. It talks of him, wanting to be with someone but she is with another guy. The tittle "Blue Love" can mean anything, so is this what it means to Landon? To wait for the one he loves?

Suddenly the door to the common room opened, Aiden adjusted herself quickly. The one that walked in wasn't who she had been waiting for. A very bothered looking Draco walked in. He quickly noticed Aiden on the couch, surprised to see her down here, alone. He had forgotten that today is Friday, and that the girls usually had their weekend hangouts in the Slytherin dorms.

Aiden looked at Draco, before turning back to her letter to ignore him.

"What are you doing down here?" Draco asked, feeling completely awkward.

Aiden looked up from her letter, "You don't own the room Malfoy."

"What I meant is, what are you doing down here, alone?"

"Although it's none of your business, I'm waiting for Hermione. She went to talk to your good pal, Alex, for some reason." Aiden said, slightly in a bitter tone.

"You mind if I join you?"

"I do actually." she said while staring back down at her letter.

Ignoring her rudeness, Draco sat down on the chair, left of the couch. It was after all his common room.

Aiden looked up at Draco, watching him stare at the fireplace. He looked wrapped up in his thoughts, as if not realizing how strange this scene might look. To Aiden, it looked like two school enemies sitting in the same room, not hurting one another. To everyone else, it might look as the two students who once loved each other, sat awkwardly next to each other.

After about ten minutes of silence, Draco asked, "Why do you hate me?" without looking away from the fire.
Catching Aiden off guard, she looked up at him, confused.

"Because Malfoy, all of my seven years here at Hogwarts you've done nothing but try to ruin each and every day. It's like you'll never stop being an asshole. What makes you think you are so much better than the rest of us?"

"Probably growing up with a jerk of a father, and a mother who wont do anything but watch her son get abused because lack of interest." Draco replied, as if he said this many times.

"Being here at Hogwarts, its nothing but titles. At least for my family. Growing up as presenting yourself to be better, its all you end up thinking." He finished, before finally looking away from the fire, and to look at Aiden. It hurt him to see her. It hurt to know that the only girl to ever in his life change that image his parents set for him, not know how much she meant to him. Aiden was the only girl he ended up falling for, and that is saying a lot, for no other Malfoy experienced true love. To them, it was all glory and money. To him, it was obvious. No other Malfoy, found their "Aiden McCain."

"Just because you have daddy issues, gives you no right to believe in that head of yours, that you're better than anyone here." Aiden said.

Draco smiled. It made him happy to see Aiden's feistiness hasn't changed.

"What can I do to change your mind about me? To show you that I'm really not the git you think I am?" Draco asked, with a slight smile.

"You can leave me alone for the rest of my life?"

Draco laughed.

"How about you give me a chance to change your idea of me. Come to the dance with me."

"You're on drugs aren't you?"

"No, I'm serious. You give me a chance, and I will show you that I'm different."

"Malfoy, there is not one bone in your body capable of change. I'm pretty sure my mental picture of you won't change for years to come."

"What's the matter Aiden? Scared?"

Aiden couldn't help but notice the way he spoke her name. As if the tone was so familiar, so inviting.

"So after how many years you suddenly want me to forgive you? As if nothing ever happened?"

Draco thought about how he treated her in the past. Yeah he was an ass in the beginning but he never cursed her like he did with Harry, nor did he ever want to. The bad side of him chose to dislike her at first because she was a Gryffindor, and to make it worse she was good friends with Harry. He didn't understand what horrible thoughts of him she had in her head, but from the way it sounds, Alex must have put some really bad memories instead.

"What exactly have I done to you to make you hate me so much?" Draco asked out of curiosity.

"For the first five years nothing so bad, typical house rivalry, but for the past two years you got worse. Nothing but fights that ended with blood and bruises."

"What? Aiden I never hit you!"Draco said raising his voice.

"Denial will never get you anywhere in life Malfoy."

Draco felt so defeated. There was no way of telling her the truth, so all she has are memories of him being worse than he actually is.

"Aiden, I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you, I know you won't believe me, but it's true. I'm sorry for everything." He whispered. Draco was apologizing for all he has done to hurt her, for becoming a deatheater, for having sex with the slut, for losing her. Now he sees this mindless zombie that has fake memories of him.

Aiden thought he was apologizing for all the times he punched her, cursed her, and left her in the hospital wing. Sadly, they were all made up memories that Aiden will never know.

"Here."

Aiden looked up to find Draco standing in front of her, a folded paper in hand. Hesitantly, she gently took from paper from within his hand. Without another word, Draco walked up to his room.

As soon as he reached his room which he shared with his fellow Slytherins, he instantly noticed a letter on his bed. The room was dark, but he saw that letter pretty clearly. Picking it up, he began to read. Within a second his jaw clenched tightly as he angrily crumpled up the paper, throwing it to the ground.

Things just got worse.
