Went To The Park

I went to the park today. Hoping to see you there. Hoping to find some closure. But to my disappointment, you weren't there. I sat down on the bench and felt the seat next to mer. I closed my eyes trying to remember the time we were here together. Your touch is like a whisper against my skin, it makes me want to melt. I inhale deeply and your cologne surrounds me, making my heart swell. I exhale and it disappears as quickly as it came. I open my eyes when I hear your laguh, thinking you were there with me in reality. But I was wrong again. I sat there thinking of you for a very long time. Instead of forgetting you like other people would, I think I'll keep the memories to remind me of the good times we had. I think I deserve a BIG THUMBS UP for facing what I should have a long time ago.
