Step Brother

I was sitting in the car listening to my ipod, we are on our way to our new home and im not really looking forward to it. We have a small u-haul attached to our car because we basically sold all our furniture except my furniture from my room and some other stuff, it sucks. I dont see why we had to move why couldnt Alex and Steven move?. A little while later while i was looking through my phone i felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Renae were here" my mom said

"Okay" i said grabbing my bag and i got out of the car

"Hey girls" Steven said walking outside

"Hey" my mom said hugging him

"Hi" i waved

"Renae why dont you go inside and hangout with Alex, i'll help your mom move your guys stuff in" Steven said and i nodded, great i bearly even knew this kid and now i have to be alone in a room with him.

I went inside and found the livingroom empty, i decided to stay in my spot since i didnt feel comfortable sitting. I started fiddling with the string hanging off my bags strap when i heard someone coming downstairs.

"Hey dad, do you-" i heard Alex say, i looked up and saw him standing there in a towel and he looked shocked

"Uh, hi" i said

"Hey, uhm-...wow i didnt know you guys were gonna be here so soon" he said

"Yep" i said feeling awkward, this is one reason i dread living with men, they just parade around half naked

"Yeah, so uhmm, i should probably put some clothes on" he said

"Yeah that would be good" i said and he nodded and he returned a few minutes later fully dressed

"Sorry about that" he said and sat down

"Its alright" i said

"You can sit down you know" he said and i sat next to him

"Alex! im here" i heard someone yell and i looked up and saw a boy with dark hair walk in

"Jack, geez no need to scream" Alex yelled back

"Sorry, so is this your new sister?" the boy Jack said eyeing me

"Yep this is Renae, Renae this is my best friend Jack" Alex said introducing us

"Hey!" Jack said

"Hi" i said

"So are you excited to live here?" he asked

"Eh" i shrugged

"I take that as a no" he said

"Ive never lived with men before and to be honest i wasnt to excited about coming here, but then again can you blame me?" i said and Alex looked a little hurt, wow i didnt mean that to sound as rude as it did

"I get it, its gonna take some getting used to" Jack said and i nodded

"Alex, Jack can you show Renae to her room to put her stuff in there?" Steven asked carrying in two of my suitcases

"Yeah sure dad" Alex said and Steven left again and i went to grab my stuff but Jack stopped me

"Here let me help you" Jack said

"Oh, no thanks i got it, can you guys just show me my room?" i said

"Sure, are you sure you dont want me to take the suitases?" Jack said

"Im sure" i said and he nodded and i grabbed my stuff and Alex and Jack showed me to my room

We walked upstairs and they took me to the last door at the end of the hall on the right. I opened the door and walked in setting my stuff down, it was a nice room. The walls were painted lime green which happened to be my favorite color.

"This used to be the guest room so it has a bathroom, but we share it since my room is right there" Alex said opening the bathroom door and pointed to the door that goes to his room

"Oh, okay" i said

"Yeah and i hope the color is good, my dad called your mom and asked what color you liked and then he had me and Jack go get the paint and paint it" he said

"Its fine" i said and he nodded

"Well uhm, me and Jack were gonna go for a walk, you can come if you want" he said

"Uhmm, no thanks" i said

"Okay well i'll see you later" he said and Jack waved and they left, i took my bag off my shoulder and dropped it on the floor before walking out and going downstairs
