Step Brother
School
-A few days later-
Today is my first day of school, i wouldve started monday but i had to get a physical and stuff. I got up and took a shower after Alex, after i got out i went to my room to pick out clothes. I decided to wear skinny jeans and a plain gray t-shirt. After i was dressed i went downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning hunny" my mom said as i sat at the table
"Hey" i said
"Are you excited for school?" she asked
"Yeah, one question though. Are we riding the bus?" i said
"Nope, were driving" Alex said
"Oh" i said
"Yep, also were picking up Jack on the way" he said and i nodded
After breakfast we left for school. We picked up Jack and headed to school, fifteen minutes later we were at the school.
"Let me see your schedule" Jack said
"Okay" i said
"Awesome we have homeroom, 1st, 3rd, and 4th period together. And me and Alex's friend Zack is in those classes with us as well and then he has all the other classes with you" he said
"Really?" i asked
"Yep" he said
"Okay well it looks like you two have everything under control. I'll see you guys at lunch" Alex said and left to go to his homeroom
"Come on lets go to homeroom" Jack said
We went into the school and went to the second floor. Our homeroom number was 243, we walked down the hall and into the room that i assumed was our homeroom. It was a science class so it has lab benches instead of desk's. I sat with Jack and then the teacher came in the room.
"Hello class i hope you had a good weekend, we have a new student joining us today. Everyone please welcome Renae Gaskarth" she said, great my mom decided i'd take Alex's last name
"Hi" i said
I went to first period with Jack and he introduced me to Zack, he was pretty cute. After class was over me and Zack had study hall, we went down to the lunch room and sat at a table together. I was scribbling in my notebook when Zack started talking to me.
"So, how do you like living with Alex" Zack asked
"Its okay" i said
"Cool" he said
"Hey Merrick!" i heard someone say, we looked over and there was a guy walking over to us
"Hey Rain, what are you doing here?" Zack asked
"My teacher is out today and they didnt have a subsitute so i came here" Rain said
"Cool, Rain this is Renae, Alex's new sister, Renae this is Rain" Zack said introducing us
"Hey" Rain said
"Hi" i said
"So wheres, Julie?" Zack asked
"Talking to her boyfriend" Rain said sitting down
"Who is Julie?" i asked
"Our friend, you'd really like her, i'll introduce you to her next period" Zack said
"Oh okay" i said
The three of us spent the rest of the period talking. At first i was a little shy around them so i didnt say much but i eventually got used to them and talked more. Later after study hall me and Zack went to civics, i walked in and saw Jack talking to some people. I took the empty seat behind Jack and when he heard me sit he turned around his eyes lit up.
"Renae!" he said excited
"Hey Jack" i said
"Did you have fun in study hall with Zack?" he asked
"Yeah, i also met Rain" i said
"Oh really? i thought he had math that period" he said
"He said the teacher was out and they had no subsitutes so he had to go to study hall" i said
"Oh, cool" he said
"Yep" i said
"Hey Renae, this is our friend Julie me and Rain were talking about. Julie this is Alex's step sister Renae" Zack said coming over and introduced us to eachother
"Hi" i said
"Hey" she said
"Well i better go sit before the teacher walks in and gets me in trouble and i end up in detention" Zack said
"Okay" i said and he walked back to his seat and Julie waved and walked to her seat
The rest of the day was pretty good, i didnt really make anymore friends beside Zack, Rain and Julie but thats okay theres always tommarow. I walked out of the school and to the parking lot where Jack and Alex were leaning on Alex's car, i walked over to them and they both looked at me when they heard me coming over.
"Hey" Alex said
"Hi" i said
"How was your first day?" he asked unlocking the car
"It was good" i said and all three of us got in the car
"Good, nobody bothered you, or hit on you?" he asked
"No" i said surprised that he was acting so brotherly
"Good" he said and started the car and we left the school parking lot
