Chapter Twelve
Cherise POV:
"So what do you all play then?" I knew it was a stupid question, but it was accepted with smiles,
"well I play guitar," said Ray, the one with the blonde afro,
"so does Frank," he nodded to the shortest guy with short black hair who'd just pulled Mikey aside.
"And I play drums-" the guy in front of me had hardly spoken when I saw Gerard standing in the doorway,
"GERARD?" I could see the shock in his eyes as he dropped the papers he was carrying. I ran over and gave him a hug,
"What are you doing here?" he said quietly
"Mikey invited me. What are you doing here?!"
Gerard POV:
What could I say?
The truth seemed best.
"I'm in the band." She smiled broadly. I loved that smile.
"As what?" I was only just getting over the shock of her being there, wait... Mikey invited her, does that mean she's...
"I, uh, sing." Her eyes widened. She punched my arm playfully,
"You should have TOLD me!" she turned to the rest of the room. Mikey and Frank were deep in conversation, as were Ray and Matt,
"So are you guys going to play or are you going to gossip like a bunch of girls?"
They all shut up and, well, jumped to it! I stood there amazed. They'd never do that for me.
"I thought so,” she said with a smile. She turned to face me, bright brown eyes filled with childlike excitement that almost took my breath away, "You too!"
She plopped herself down on Ray's comfy sofa,
"Don't mind me!"

"Any" I heard myself rasp, I could hardly talk. She was HERE, with Mikey, that meant she was the one he kept talking about, the one he...
I started to relax as the others stated playing. As I began to sing, I watched Cherise. She looked at each one of us in turn. When she looked at me singing she mouthed
*you never told me you sang! * And
*you're good. *
It helped. I couldn't help wanting to hold her as I sang. Everything I sang, had been singing, would sing, was true. I was all for her.
Matt POV:
Something was going on. I could see Gerard liked this girl, and I could see why. She was pretty and enthusiastic about the band.
She is VERY pretty...
