Black fishnets twinned with stiletto heels, a slick of red lipstick and leather.
A dance, a drink, a glass of wine. One, two. Beer. Vodka stolen from the store in the dressing room; something just enough to get them through the night.
Mimi Marquez stumbled back home and collapsed on the chair, giggling as if nothing was wrong.
Then – oh!
A comedown. A piece of scrap ribbon, a needle, fluid drawn in a haze from a bottle with shaking hands, a small trickle of virus-infused blood...
Mimi Marquez was dead within 3 hours. They found her cold.
