I'm Falling In Love, But It's Falling Apart
Don't Forget
Sierra
The sun is hurting my eyes. Though, I like it. I like being in the sun, lying in the grass. It tickles my arms and legs, but I don’t care. It’s a bright blue sky. No clouds. That’s how I like it. Just blue. Blue is a cool color, I wear it a lot. But the blue is turning into black. Black with multiple, little white dots. It’s full moon tonight. I watch it every month from my spot on the ground. It’s amazing how far it actually is and how close it seems. But it’s also scaring me. You have no clue how big this whole thing is. It goes on and on. It just never stops. And maybe there are living some sort of creatures on another planet. But we just don’t know that they exist and they don’t know that we exist.
It’s getting cold, so I get up and start walking toward the house. It’s an old house, but I love it, though. I think it’s older than my grandma. Her mother lived in it, she lived in it, my mom lives in it, and so do I. I really liked my grandma. It was like she was the only one how really understood me. But she died last year. And she lived her whole entire life in that house. Just like my mom, just like me. But I’m going to break the tradition, I guess. Maybe my sister wouldn’t. Not like I really care.
It’s quiet in the house. Everyone is asleep. I go upstairs and I skip the third and eighth step of stair. They make noise. I used to wake my mom with that. Now I know. I walk toward my room, but I don’t switch the light on. I fall on my bed and I almost fall immediatley asleep.
--
“Wake up, sleeping beauty!”
Someone takes a seat on my bed. “Go away,” I mumble.
The person pulls the blankets away. “Get up, Sierra!”
Light shines in my eyes. I sit up. My mom is standing in front of me. Billie leans against my door frame. She’s smiling at me.
“Take that fucking grin of your face,” I say.
“Sierra, watch your language,” my mom says.
I get out of my bed and walk toward the bathroom. When I get back in, my mom has gone downstairs and Billie’s sitting on my bed.
“Why did you have to wake me so early?” I ask.
“Early?” she says. “It’s eleven in the morning. It’s almost noon, and we’d go shopping, remember?”
“Fuck, shopping.” I smash my own forehead.
“Don’t you dare to tell me you forgot.”
“I didn’t,” I say quickly. Billie can be very dangerous when she gets angry. But it has to take al lot. “Well, ready then?”
“Yeah, let’s go,” she says. We walk downstairs
“Mom! I’m going to the mall,” I yell at my mother.
“Be home for dinner,” she replies.
Billie and I walk out the door into the Florida heat, heading toward the mall.
"So, how's your love life going?" Billie asks. I chuckle and look at her. "I don't have a love life."
"What about John?"
"What do you mean?" I look at her with a puzzled look. She honestly doesn't think that I have thing for John? I mean, he's a handsome boy, but he's totally not my type.
"Isn't he something for you?" I look at her in disbelief. She doesn't know me at all? I would never ever fall for a guy like John. He is the kind of guy that hooks up with everything that wears a skirt.
"He's a giant," is the only thing I say. Billie laughs. "True. You better not fall in love with him, he hooks up with everyone, I think." That's my Billie. She knows I would never like a boy like him.
"What about you?" I ask. "Did you fall for someone?" She shakes her head. "Not exactly."
I raise an eyebrow. "You seem attracted to Justin." Her cheeks start heating up and she giggles. Billie never giggles. "He's cute."
"Oh my god! Billie, you like Justin?"
"Shht, can you scream it even louder?!"
"I'm sorry," I say in a low voice. "You like Justin?" She nods. "A little."

Okay, there's not actually anything happening, filler you can say, but believe me, it makes sense.First I said it's kinda a filler, but Billie just admitted she likes Justin, so it's not a filler anymore, 'cause it makes so much sense now (: let me know what you think about Billie liking Justin. Should he like her back? Or should she chose someone else?
please, please comment
