Remenissions

I left them. They were my best friends, and I just left them.
I looked at the angelic face next to me, the six year old that had become my pride and joy. Her eyes fluttered open.
"Hi, Mommy."
"Hi, Princess," I whispered, stroking her cheek.
Sometimes, it hurt to look at her face. It reminded me of the man I left behind.
