It Beats For Two

I kept walking down the road, trying to get as far from Luke's apartment building. Oli had told me he'd be here in a few minutes. I wrapped my arms around myself, walking as fast as I could in heels. I was sobbing, walking in the rain, waiting on my non boyfriend to come and get me.

I felt pathetic.

Oli's car turned the corner a second later, coming to a complete stop. Oli emerged from the car, instantly getting soaked as he ran over to me. He took me in his arms and I began sobbing even harder.

"Af, i'm 'ere, 's alrigh'." he murmured, holding me closer. I sniffled, trying to calm myself, and when i did, I explained to him everything that happened.

"Why did yeh go ou' wifh 'im in the firs' place, Afton? Yeh 'ave meh, rememba?" He pulled away slightly so he could see my face. I looked up at him and push him away from me.

"Yeh the one who neve' made anyfhin' official, Olive'! Yeh fuckin' used meh for sex an' 'ardleh said a damn fhing teh meh lateleh! Yeh;ve been snor'in' lines, smokin' weed, injectin' god knows wha' into yehself. Yeh neve' gave a damn abou' meh, yeh onleh wan'ed sex. An' tha's wha' yeh wan'ed Amanda for, teh. Yeh onleh lef' because she were pregnan' wifh someone elses child. If she weren', i'm sure yeh would 'ave stayed."

I backed away from him, then turned and ran as fast as I could away from him. That's what I was best at.
