This is no Act of Vengance

Helen lives in fear. She stays locked up in her house, after having shut out all her old friends and family. She tells herself she still loves her husband, even after every fight, after she's left cold and bruised on the floor. The thought of telling someone has her trembling. And yet she's not sure how much she can take. She's so ashamed of her weakness and so full of self loathing, that it seems inevitable when she starts to wish she could just slowly disappear and fade away.
