This Dream Isn't Done

“Wow, you actually found me,” I laugh.
He smiles, “I have ways.”
“You a stalker?”
He chuckles, “of course not!”
I smile, “I need to finish up, Sammy is inside if you want to talk?”
He nods, “sure.”
I let him in and he goes to sit with Sammy while I finish up in the bathroom. I finish ten minutes later and give Sammy a smile.
“See you later,” Sammy says.
“Nice talking to you,” Josh smiles.
“You too.”
“See you tonight,” I say to her as we head out.
“Have fun!”
I shut the door and look up at Josh, I give him a smile and he takes my hand as we head out.
“So uh, what are we going to do?” I ask.
“We’re in Cancun, what aren’t we going to do?” He smiles.
I laugh, “uh oh.”
Josh first takes me to do zip lining, which is really fun!
“You like water?” He asks.
“Of course.”
“Well, how about scuba diving?”
“Sounds like fun.”
We do scuba diving for an hour and a half and when we finish, my stomach growls.
“Was that your stomach?” He laughs as we dry off.
“You heard that?” I ask a little embarrassed.
He nods, “I think the people at the other end of the beach heard.”
I look back and look at him as he laughs, “let’s eat.”
I nod as I pull on my shorts and tank top and we walk over to one of the restaurants. We eat and when we finish, it’s night time. We walk along the beach in the moon light, running in and out of the water.
“This was probably the most fun I’ve had all Spring break,” he smiles as he wraps his arms around my waist.
I smile, “same here.”
His lips gently press to mine and I instantly respond. We stand there for a few minutes kissing until he pulls back.
“Should I take you back to your room?”
“How about yours?”
He raises his eyebrows, “yeah?”
I nod and he leads me off. As we walk, all I hear is Sammy’s voice, you’ve changed.

“Where were you last night?” Sammy asks once I enter our room.
I give her a guilty look.
“You didn’t!”
I sigh as I collapse on the bed, “I did.”
“How was it? Was he good?” She asks in a rush.
I look at her and chuckle, “actually?”
“Tell me!”
“He was amazing!”
“Wow, I can’t believe you actually had a fling!”
I laugh as I fall back onto the bed, “he was…wow.”
“When does he leave?”
I sigh, “he left a few minutes ago.”
“Wouldn’t it be amazing if you guys somehow met up again in the future?”
“Oh yeah, amazing.”
She sighs, “let’s enjoy our last day, shall we?”
I nod, “yes!”
We go out, lay on the beach for a couple hours, shop a little, have dinner and we have a few drinks at the bar. When we’re tired, we head back to the hotel and I have a shower before climbing into bed.
“This was a great trip.”
I nod, “it was. We’ll have to do it again.”
“Same time next year?” She smiles.
“Definitely.”
“Wake you in the morning?” She asks.
“Yeah, knowing me, I won’t wake up early on my own.”
She smiles, “okay! Good night.”
“Goodnight.”
I lay in bed, not able to fall asleep and I hear Sammy snoring softly. I roll over, trying to get comfortable but I can’t. For some odd reason, I feel a little guilty for what I did with Josh. As if I’ve cheated on someone. I sigh, but I’m fine. It was a fling and I won’t ever see him again and I didn’t cheat on anyone. I roll over on my back and stare up at the darkness, thinking about last night. It truly was amazing. My mind slowly drifts to Alex and for some reason, I wonder what he’s doing at this moment.
