Sammy's Crush?
“You made it,” Liam smiles.
I nod, “and I brought my friend Sammy.”
“Hey,” he says to her.
“Hi,” she smiles.
“There’s drinks in the back,” he says to us as he points, “help yourself to anything.”
I nod, “thanks.”
“Thanks,” Sammy says.
He smiles and we walk inside, half the building already in here. We walk to the drink table and grab a drink each.
“He’s hot!” Sammy exclaims.
I laugh, “yeah, he’s pretty cute.”
“Pretty cute! He’s gorgeous!”
I laugh, “okay. Relax.”
“I have to talk to him!” She says.
“About what?”
“I don’t know, but I need to.”
I laugh, “Sammy, he just moved in, he’s not going anywhere.”
She nods a little, “right.”
“Just have fun and let nature takes its course.”
“Kinda like you and Alex?” She smirks.
I give her a small glare, “I will destroy you.”
She laughs, “I’m kidding!”
“Sure you are.”
She sighs and I spend the night getting to know more of my neighbors while Sammy tries talking to Liam.
“Thanks for coming,” Liam says a couple hours later.
I smile, “thanks for the invitation.”
“It was our pleasure,” Sammy says at the same time.
I look at her and I chuckle quietly, “I’ll see you later.”
He nods, “bye ladies.”
I pull Sammy along with me and mock her, “it was our pleasure.”
“What else could I have said?” She hisses.
“Something better than ‘it was our pleasure’!” I laugh.
We get into my apartment and I give her a cup of coffee.
“He’s soooo cute!”
I roll my eyes, “yeah, I got that.”
“I shawty him.”
I look at her, “you shawty him?” She nods. “You can’t shawty a human! Besides, how old are you?”
“Well I just did,” she says, "did that stop being a thing?"
"I think so," I chuckle, she’s a bit drunk so I won’t push it.
“All good anyways, I’m not even interested.”
“Sure you’re not,” she mumbles and lays down on the couch.
“Tired?”
She nods with her eyes closed. I stand and take our cups.
“Okay, I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Night,” she says.
I get rid of the cups before I go into my room and get changed. I clean up and I go straight to bed. Playing with the charms on the bracelet as I lay in the dark.
