‹ Prequel: Moving On Up

Going The Distance

Tonight I'm Loving You

“Nick!” I squealed as he swung me up into his arms, my own quickly locking around his neck, as he carried me into the absolutely stunning villa he had surprised me with. He kicked the huge door closed behind him, continuing to hold me as I gasped upon seeing how truly stunning this place was.

The villa looked over the endless crystal ocean, the white beach right outside our door. It was located in a private area of the Bahamas where only a handful of villas lay, most of which were occupied by other famous faces, all simply craving some time out. We were a twenty minute drive from the local town, full of high end restaurants and boutiques, making this place more than I could ever have wished for.

Nick removed both of our shoes before lifting me up once more and carrying me out onto the patio where a loud gasp fell from my lips as I took in the beauty of it all. He gently set me down and stayed silent as I took it in.

The raised platform was scattered with candles and just below on the beach, ‘I Love You’ was lit up on the sand.

“Nick.” I said quietly, placing a hand on his chest and slowly bringing my gaze up to his. “I love you so much.” I whispered, smiling through my tears. Nick leaned down and pressed a kiss to both of my closed eyes before landing on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he slowly bent down to lift my legs, carrying me wedding style back into the villa.

A gust of wind from outside blew all of the candles out just as he slowly closed the door, the timing absolutely perfect. He continued through the villa to the bedroom, our lips moving together softly as he did. The bedroom was lit up only by a lamp on the beside table of the absolutely huge bed that looked fit for a king. It had 4 oak bed posts, the bed raised high and looking like the most comfortable thing I had seen in my life.

We continued to kiss as he slowly lowered me to the ground again, bringing his hands up to my face. I slipped my hands beneath his suit jacket that he was still wearing and pulled it off his body, placing it over the chair by the bedroom door. He smiled and kissed me deeper, letting me remove his bow tie and soon after, his shirt, my hands instantly grabbing for his toned and rock hard chest. I pressed my body into his but wanted to feel my flesh against his and just like that, Nick was thinking the same thing.

He pressed soft kisses to my neck as he moved behind me and carefully began undoing the dress, pulling the interlaced bodice slowly apart. The silence of the room made the moment even more electrifying and passionate, as we both embraced the sacred moment.

The dress slowly fell from my body, my feet carefully stepping over the material to avoid damaging it. Nick bent down to retrieve the precious dress and gently lay it over the same chair, before turning back to me, his eyes dark with lust and desire. His eyes swallowed me up, standing in there in pure white lace underwear, a modest silver diamond necklace around my neck, the garter still on my thigh which Nick had wanted to see for the first time by himself; alone.

He took a few steps towards me and swooped in for my lips, pulling me flush against his large frame, his belt digging into my stomach. Without breaking the kiss, I wrapped my hands around the belt and tugged it loose, then moving onto the button and finally the zipper of his trousers, which was taut against the defined bulge beneath it.

He stepped out of the trousers that circled his ankles and threw it beside the dress, giving much less regard for its keeping than he had my wedding dress. He pushed me backwards towards the bed and gently pushed me down to sit on it whilst he went down to his knees, lifting my knee into a point. I smiled as he pressed kisses up my leg, from my ankles to my thigh before biting down on the garter and staring up at me through glazed eyes. I let out an unsteady breath as he slowly dragged the material down my leg with his teeth, watching me the entire time.

I felt the underwire of my bra begin to dig into my flesh so arched my back to remove the clasp with one hand, letting the bra then fall to the floor beside Nick. He watched as it fell and then turned his attention to my underwear which he obviously thought should be gone by now. He hooked his thumbs on the sides and slid it from my legs, letting it fall beside the bra.

Nick stood and knelt in front of me in the bed, scooping his arms beneath my back and moving my body to the head of the bed, my head resting on the plush pillows. He gently lay his body on mine and kissed me deeply, holding my face in his warm palms.

“I love you too.” He whispered in response to my earlier comment. “I love you so, so much, Charlene.”

Before I could say anything he kissed me again and then slid his mouth to my chin before moving down to my neck where he marked his territory. I groaned and held onto the back of his head which moved slowly down my body, his tongue swirling around my nipples, his eyes as always, staring intensely into mine.

He slid his tongue down to my navel and then further, pushing my legs far enough apart and giving me one more intense look before taking me into his mouth, his eyes closing in satisfaction as he did. I jerked at his touch and moaned loudly, my breathing uneven and shallow as I felt his tongue pleasuring me. When I felt him nibble at me ever so slightly, I whimpered and felt myself being driven full speed ahead to completion and utter satisfaction.

“Nick.” I breathed deeply, arching my back as he pressed a final kiss and pulled away. I was breathing deeply as I watched him pull his boxers from his body and carefully climb on top of me, kissing my shoulder and making his way back up to my lips. He interlaced his fingers through my left hand and pressed a soft kiss to my lips, his body warm and so, so inviting.

“I want you to remember this night forever, Charlene.” He whispered, moving his other hand to slowly guide himself to my entrance and gently pushing his hips further into mine until he was completely engulfed and my body adjusted to him. He groaned deeply and interlaced his other hand through mine, staring down at me through those gorgeous eyes of his that got to me every single time.

He slowly moved again and I moved with him, letting him set the perfect rhythm. Our eyes didn’t stray from one another’s the entire time, and it was the single most powerful moment of my entire life and one I knew I would cherish forever.

I felt my whole body on fire as we slowly picked up speed, our breaths ragged and choppy. The sound of each others moans just spurring us on even further. My mind was everywhere at once, my hands clinging to Nick the entire time.

Soon enough, I could feel him growing restless so I moved slightly harsher against him, increasing the friction as he did the same.

“Nick.” I moaned as he propelled us closer, my eyes wanting to roll back but not being able to move as they were so transfixed on Nick’s.

“I want us to finish together, Charlene.” He said through a ragged breath, his grip on both of my hands so tight, I thought they might break off. I knew he was close to exploding and I wasn’t far behind him.

He tore his hand from mine and brought his fingers to my core, sending me well over the edge, my entire body clamping and milking him, causing a primal growl to leave his lips as he spilled into me, both of our bodies trembling with ecstasy.

His huge arms caught his body as he collapsed on me, making the impact of his huge yet incredible body a lot less painful. Our chests stuck together with sweat, our lips pressing soft kisses all over each others faces before our lips found each other.

Nick slowly pulled out of me and rolled over in the huge bed, bringing me with him and tucking me cosily under his arm as he pulled the duvet up and over us. Making love as man and wife was something completely indescribable. Just when I thought I couldn’t feel closer to Nick, I was proven wrong.

“I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like that.” I smiled as our chests still heaved, my body still tingling from his touch and the pleasure he’d just driven me too.

“Me neither.” He beamed down at me before pressing a kiss to my nose.

“If this is a sign of what married life is going to be like, then I could quite happily never leave the bedroom again.” I said and he chuckled and nodded in agreement, pulling me even closer into his side. I lay one of my legs over his thighs and placed my hand on his chest, smiling up at his satisfied face.

“I second that notion.” He smirked, kissing my hairline and finally my lips, a chaste, soft press of lips. “I love you, Mrs Charlene Jonas.”

I smiled and wrapped a hand gently in his trademark curls, my lips brushing his as I spoke. “I love you too, Mr Nicholas Jonas.” I let out a content sigh and rubbed my nose against his and smiled. “My husband.”

Nick POV

It wasn’t the sun bursting through the blinds that awoke me the following morning, no, it was the feeling of soft lips on my chest, of delicate fingers sliding down my neck. I pushed open one eye and looked down at Charlene who was still tucked beneath my arm, her leg laying over mine whilst her lips caressed soft kisses all over my chest.

“Want to move your lips a little further down?” I said through a groggy voice, causing her head to shoot up.

“How utterly romantic of you.” She chuckled, snuggling into me. I laughed and hoisted her on top of my body, her bare chest pressed on mine.

“Good morning, beautiful.” I smiled, nudging her nose with mine.

“That’s more like it.” She said through a smile, leaning down to press her lips to mine. “Can you believe we’re married?” Her voice was soft, her words floating gently through the air to reach my ears, her voice alone sending a shiver up my spine.

“Finally.” I whispered in response, staring down at my wife; the woman I would die for in a heartbeat. I saw the girl who stole my heart at first glance, the girl who changed my life forever and who was now my wife for eternity. She was everything.

She smiled and lay her head on my chest, nestling it beneath my chin, her fingers returning to drawing shapes on my skin. She took in a deep breath, followed by a content sigh.

“You’re possibly the only man alive that smells absolutely incredible first thing in the morning.” She smiled, her nose pressed against the side of my neck. I chuckled and pressed a kiss to her side of her head, tightening my grip on her.

“Last night was incredible, Charlene.”

“I know.” She smiled, raising her face to mine and pressing her lips against my own.

She cuddled back into me and I found myself letting out a quiet sigh which caught her attention.

“I don’t want things to ever change between us, Charlene.”

“What do you mean?” She asked softly, gazing up at me.

“Even when we’ve got children and our lives change, I don’t want us to change. I want to spent every night for the rest of my life cuddled up with you, singing you to sleep or just lying for hours on end talking to each other.” I brushed my hand through her hair and smiled gently down at the love of my life; the woman who was my entire world. “The bond we have is so rare, Charlene. I just never want us to lose that.”

“We won’t.” She whispered, sliding up the bed until our faces were next to each other on the pillow, her hand now on my cheek, the cold wedding bands bringing a smile to my face. “This thing between us is so natural, Nick. Even when I want to be mad and ignore you, I just can’t. And yes, sometimes that’s a pain in the ass.” She chuckled, her thumb gently moving back and forth on my cheek. “The bond between us is so strong, I know how lucky we are to have that. We wouldn’t allow ‘us’ to change, Nicky.”

“I know, I know.” I said quietly, laying my forehead against hers. “It’s just that it’s been over a year since we got back together again, and I’m just waiting for this blissful bubble I’m in to burst. I mean, I’ve been so happy for so long since I found you again and it just seems like it’s about time my luck turned and I’m petrified for when that might be.”

“You need to relax more, Nick.” Charlene whispered, pressing a long kiss to my forehead and then laying hers against it again. “I’m not going anywhere and everything else that hits us along the way, we’ll face it head on, hand in hand. You need to live for the present, rather than worrying what is around the next corner.”

I stared at her and then smiled, nudging her nose with mine. “You always know what to say.”

She smiled, pressing her lips to mine and rolling on top of me. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” I grinned, still not believing she was finally my bride and wife. How did I get so lucky?

“Now, how about...we go and take a shower.” Charlene breathed, pressing her lips to the corner of my mouth.

“How about...a roll around in the sheets instead.” I said, sliding my hands down her smooth back and resting my hands on her perfect, firm behind.

She chuckled and slid her hands down my chest to sit up and smirk down at me. “I don’t think you caught my drift.”

I whimpered as she stood up and walk across the bed and jumped off the edge, turning to face me. She grinned when she noticed my body’s reaction to seeing her completely naked and utterly perfect, in front of me.

“I’ll just be waiting...alone in the warm shower...all lathered up and soft...and willing.” She smirked, placing her hands on her hips.

I threw the duvet from my legs and jumped out of bed, swooping her up in my arms on the way to the bathroom and smiling as she laughed loudly, tangling her fingers in my hair and grinning down at me.

“Man, you can be slow sometimes.”

Charlene POV

I smiled as I felt the sun beating down on my back as I lay on my stomach, reading a magazine I had placed on the sand beneath my deck chair. Nick had insisted on applying suncream every half an hour just to be safe, but I suspected half of it was to give each other a rub down. I knew my husband so well.

“Babe.” I heard him call from behind me, his footsteps loud against the wooden steps he walked down before his feet came into contact with the soft sand which silenced his footsteps as he walked towards me.

“Mhmm?” I mumbled, still reading my magazine but stopping as I felt the rays on my back being blocked by the huge football player perched on the side of the deck chair.

“Do you fancy going into town? I wanted to check it out.”

“Yeah, definitely.” I said as I closed the magazine and peered up at him, my raybans blocking the sun blasting from behind his head, creating a halo effect around him. “Clip me up.”

He smiled and clipped up my bikini, pressing a soft kiss to the back of my neck as he did.

I pushed myself up and knelt in the middle of the deck chair, taking a sip of the diet coke Nick offered me.

“Nick; I’ve got a bit of a problem.”

He froze and raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of the coke before slowly bringing it from his lips. “Go on.”

“I started my period an hour ago.”

His jaw dropped and he simply stared at me in disbelief. “Seriously?”

I nodded and bit my lip, waiting for him to expand on that.

“Oh...urm...ok. So, err, does that mean we can’t you know, have fun?”

“Yeah, it’s only for four days though...but I have a feeling this could last for a while longer.”

He tried to hold it back but a quiet curse left his lips as he stared at me. “I thought you could kind of control it with the pill.” He frowned in confusion.

“I tried, but nature clearly doesn’t want us to have sex for a week of our honeymoon.”

He nodded but still looked so crushed and confused that I couldn’t help but laugh. He peered up at me and chuckled. “I’m glad you find this funny.”

“Of course I find it funny.” I grinned, leaning forward and whispering into his ear. “Because you’re just so freaking gullible.”

He shot his head back and lowered his eyes at me.

“You should have seen your face, Nick. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy look so absolutely devastated at not being able to have sex.” I laughed loudly.

“You had better run.” He warned. I screamed and jumped from the sun bed as he chased me inside, his footsteps loud and fast. I squealed as he scooped me up in his arms and fell down onto the couch, tickling my sides, causing more laughter and screams.

“Ok, ok, ok, I’m sorry.” I laughed but he still didn’t stop tickling me. “Nick, Nick, please stop!” I breathed through my laughs, letting out a deep breath when he finally did stop.

“That was an extremely cruel joke to pull on any red blooded man.” He smirked, wrapping his arms firmly around me as I lay my hand on his chest and cuddled into him.

“I’m hilarious.”

“You’re a tease.”

I grinned up at him and pressed a kiss to his nose. “You love it. Plus, I’ll make it up to you when we get back from town.” I smiled innocently, gently brushing his package beneath his shorts and making him squirm beneath me.

“Nope, you’ll make it up to me now.”

“After town. It will make you appreciate it more.” I grinned, jumping up and heading towards the bedroom laughing as I heard him yell from the couch; “Tease!”

...

As we walked together through the absolutely stunning town, my arm wrapped around Nick’s back as his lay over my shoulders, keeping me snuggled close to his side, I couldn’t help but keep glancing up at him and smiling every single time at remembering he was my husband. His jet black aviators only added to the butterflies in my stomach. God, I was a lucky girl.

“A rose for your special lady, sir?” A young man asked as he passed, with a flash of his amazing white teeth. Nick smiled and handed him double what the young man asked for, plucking one perfect red rose from his handful.

“Thank you so much, sir. Have a good day.” He smiled once more before heading off down the road. Nick pulled out a swiss army knife that was attached to his keys and clipped off the stem before gently sliding the rose into my bun and smiling down at me.

I beamed up at him and leaned up on my tiptoes to kiss him, though even then he had to bend down slightly. Nick was the only person that could make me feel so little but I certainly wasn’t complaining seeing as it was that huge body that kept me so warm and safe.

“There. You look like a local now.” He smiled and wrapped his arm around me once more as we continued down the street. We took pictures of the beautiful town and my absolute favourite capture of the day was a picture of Nick standing next to hanging shark that was the exact same height as him, his grin huge and boyish as he posed next to the monster.

As we got further into town, it became much more modern and full of stunning yet costly restaurants, the shops now much more upscale and more in sync with what we got back home.

“Are you hungry?” Nick asked as we stood watching a street performer with the locals.

“Starving. Are you?”

He nodded but looked behind me at the restaurants and then down into my eyes once more. “But I kind of preferred the authentic restaurants we passed on our way in. I want us to experience the real Bahamas.”

“Then off we go for some real Bahamas food.” I smiled, my stomach growling right on que. He smiled a wide toothy grin back at me and pushed the rose in my hair back a bit further into my bun as I felt it sliding out ever so slightly.

“You’re beautiful.” He said absentmindedly, trickling his fingers down my arms as we still stood on the outskirts now of the street performers’ audience. I blushed and looked away from his eyes, wrapping my arms around him. “I love how even now, you blush when I say that.” He chuckled.

“You always make me blush.” I mumbled into his chest as he hugged me tightly.

“You didn’t seem to blush last night, despite all of the naughty, naughty things we were doing.” He whispered into my ear, his lips brushing it as he spoke. I glanced up at him and a slow, seductive smile lifted on my lips.

“Let’s go to lunch before we get distracted by each other.”

He laughed and squeezed me tightly, lifting me off the ground as he did. I laughed with him and snuggled into him as we walked further out of town towards the smaller, seaside restaurants.

“Table for two, please.” Nick said as we arrived at the restaurant, being led to the back of the open restaurant right on the seafront. We thanked the young woman who smiled and took our drink orders before heading back into the main body of the restaurant.

We intertwined our fingers on the table and smiled at one another, the looks in our eyes saying it all. We were one of those couples that you could see from a mile off were head over heels in love, so much so that single people no doubt found it quite sickening but I didn’t care. We were happy and that’s what mattered.

“You’ve been Mrs Jonas for three whole days now. Are you missing your old surname yet?” He grinned.

“No, I’ve known I wanted to become a Jonas since I was eighteen years old.” I smiled back, squeezing his hand.

“I’m sure you didn’t feel that way when you first met me.” He laughed.

I shook my head and chuckled at the high school memories; of my Nick, the rebel and big dog in high school and heartthrob of the town. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that six years down the line, I’d be sitting opposite him in the Bahamas, our hands intertwined, with an absolutely amazing engagement and wedding ring on my finger; claiming me as his for the rest of my life. Wow, how things could change.

“I think the thought of becoming a Jonas when I first met you, was pretty much hell. But strangely, the small soft spot I had for you grew and grew so now, I actually quite like you, Jonas.” I grinned.

“Glad to hear it. I actually quite like you too...Jonas.”

My grin grew as he said it and that’s when it well and truly hit that I was Mrs Jonas. I placed my other hand on his and gripped it tightly, rubbing my thumb over his wedding band.

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.” Nick smiled, leaning forward over the table as I did the same until our lips met. He pressed soft pecks to my lips and smiled as I started chuckling. “What’s so funny?” He laughed softly, pulling back slightly.

“This is just so insanely surreal.” I smiled, kissing him once more before falling back into my seat. He nodded and stared down at our intertwined hands, gazing at my two special rings and smiling to himself.

“But it’s meant to be.” He grinned, rubbing his foot up my calf muscle. “You didn’t even have a say in it, my dear. You were doomed to be with little old me from the get go.”

“Doomed?” I chuckled, trickling my toes up his leg as my flip flops fell to the ground. “This right here; is pretty much heaven.”

...

“I don’t want to leave.” I sighed quietly, snuggled into Nick’s side as we sat on the veranda at the back of the villa, the ocean was pitch black, only being lit up by the full moon above. The warm night air was surprisingly pleasant as we remained cuddled on the love seat, my legs dangling over his.

“Me neither.” He whispered in return, pressing a kiss to my hair line. “Give me one minute.” He said before gently lifting me off him and walking inside. I watched him leave and then turned to face the ocean, smiling as I heard the waves softly hitting the sand and then retreating once more.

Nick returned a minute later as promised, with a soft smile on his face. He resumed his place on the loveseat, tangling our bodies together once more.

“Close your eyes, sweetie.” Nick whispered, his lips brushing my ear. I looked at him curiously before closing my eyes and jolting slightly as Nick’s hand reached mine, opening up my palm. I felt a cool metal fall into my hands and frowned, wondering what it could be, though Nick’s hand was still over my eyes.

He slowly removed his hand and wrapped his arm back around me, whispering into my ear. “And open.”

My eyes fluttered open to see the villa key sitting in my hand, a key ring attached at the end of it.

‘Mrs Jonas’ the keyring read.

“What is this?” I asked quietly, looking up at Nick in question.

“A key...to the villa I bought for us.”

I gasped and brought my hand up to my mouth, my eyes wide in surprise.

“You didn’t.” I breathed, my heart beating out of control.

“It’s a honeymoon gift.” Nick smiled, brushing his lips along my jaw.

“Oh my gosh.” I gasped once more, my hands visibly shaking as I took his face in my hands. “Is this now our villa?”

Nick nodded and grinned, rubbing his hands on my lower back.

I laughed a laugh of disbelief and hugged him tightly, wrapping my fingers around his soft curls. “I cannot believe this!” I exclaimed happily, pressing a long kiss to his lips. “You spoil me way too much, Nick.” I laughed, pressing more kisses to his perfect lips which were up in a smile.

“I love you, Charlene.” Nick said through a smile, running his hand down the side of my face.

“I love you too, Nick.” I whispered, on the verge of tears as he kissed me once more, his movement passionate and loving.

“This way, we can forever relive this time we shared together. It’s our little secret though, ok? Our little hideaway from the world.” He said, engulfing my body in his arms and holding me so tight. I snuggled close to my husband, pressing soft kisses to his neck and jaw line, smiling at how perfect everything was. I was Nick’s wife, he was my husband and the butterflies that formed in my stomach just at that thought alone, were enough to last a lifetime.

Hope you enjoyed this narlene fluff and please comment with what you would like to see more/less of or any scenarios for future chapters...or if you’d just like to acknowledge the time spent writing each chapter.

Thank youuu :)
