Closer to the Edge

“Well lead the way” I motion in front of me. He loops my arm with his and we walk along streets running into a few drunken people along the way giggling and being merry. We walk up a hill and out onto a secluded cliff. I gasp it is beautiful. All of the city lights sparkling below us the only noise the wind blowing.
“Wow Jared this is truly awesome” I smile at him.
He looks out onto the cityscape before us. He looks so sexy the way the lights make shadows on his face.
“You are the only person I have ever brought out here you know that?” our eyes lock.
“Why just me?”
“Because there is just something about you that makes me want to share pieces of me that I hide from everyone else” I look into his eyes for any sign of untruthfulness or any sign of a joke.
“This isn’t another one of you guys pranks isn’t it?” I ask looking around for someone to be peaking out from behind a tree.
“No Eva it’s the truth”
“Jared… I….We...”I trail off.
“I know we just met and everything but I want to know you I mean really know you”
“Well you’re going to learn quite a bit about me because we have the next 88 cities to get to know each other“ I giggle.
He smiles at me I stand up and pull him up too then we begin to walk back.
“Just don’t let anything I said make things awkward between us please” Jared asks with pleading eyes.
I stop him and grab both of his hands “I promise that nothing will be awkward we will be really great friends” I turn and begin walking down the hill again.
Jared’s POV
I want to be more than friends though I say in my head.
Evalynne’s POV
“Are you coming because I don’t know my way back and I don’t plan on getting lost in a place where I don’t speak the tongue” I crack a smile.
“Of course” He begins to run.
“Jared I have heels on” I yell at him.
“Then you better think fast” I see him fading in the distance.
I take my heels off and run after him.
“Wait for me!”
We get back to the hotel panting and laughing hysterically.
“You’re a jerk!” I laugh and hit him playfully in the shoulder.
I blow my hair out of my face and put it in a messy side bun.
“Well off to bed with me I am exhausted” I say unlocking the bus.
“Goodnight my lady” Jared bows.
“Good night sir” I curtsey.
He walks up to me and kisses me on the cheek. I blush and watch as his figure goes around the building.
I close the door and fall on to the couch. Jared Leto from 30 second to mars just kissed my cheek and told me he wanted to really know me I let out a little squeal and get up. I undressed and put on some short PJ bottoms and a tank top. I climb into one of the bunks and before I know it sleep envelopes me.
Jared’s POV
I unlock the door to the bus and climb on my stuff in tow I quietly put my bags on the floor and walk into the bunks. I look to see a sleeping Eva the blankets covering her middle and wrapped around her feet. Her hair scattered everywhere. I look closer at her and she has the word Echelon tattooed across the back of her neck and then I see one of the symbols bold and dark on her skin. She is a really diehard fan.
Evalynnes POV.
I wake up to Jared’s beautiful face studying something on my back…. My Echelon tattoo!
“You like it” I smile sleep still evident in my voice.
“You really are a fan aren’t you?”
“Yeah I really am” I smile and swing my feet over the side of the bed. I rub some of the sleep from my eyes and I stretch.
“What time is it any ways?”
“It’s about 1:00 in the afternoon”
I study Jared and he is still in his PJs too.
“When are we leaving” I get up and walk out into the main room Jared hot on my heels.
I turn on the radio and start making coffee. Before Jared gets the time to answer I hear the door to the bus open quick and I look up. A breathless Spencer stumbles into the bus.
