You are in bed reading a book while Jeremy is playing with Alex on you guys’ bed. Your phone rings.

“Hello?” You said.
“Abby, hey it’s Billie Joe,” He said.
“Hey what you need?”
“I’m getting sued well I guess it’s my record company please.”
“Yeah I will be the lawyer where is the case set?”
“Berkeley.”
“Shit.”
“What?”
“It’s just kinda far away since I just had a kid.”
“There is a hefty pay out of this Abby, the guy can miss a few days.”
“He has other kid.”

“Ok Billie Joe, I do it.”

You hang up and Jeremy looks at you.

“What’s going on?” Jeremy asks.
“I have to go up to Berkeley for a case,” You said.
“But that means I don’t get to see my son.”
“It be a week at the most I’m sorry but…”
“It’s a friend?”
“Yeah and feel bad he was the first person to let me do a lawyer job.”
“It’s a week without my kid.”
“I’m sorry, there video chat.”
“Ok, when do you leave?”
“Tomorrow when Katrina leaves and I’m driving there.”
“What?”
“I don’t want him in a plane”

Jeremy laughs and kiss your head.

“how about this, I know this will sound odd but you work so you can come home faster and I keep Alex,” Jeremy said.
“Cowboys tour, no you got too much on your plate,” You said.
“It finish last weekend.”
“Ok you sure you got it?”
“Yeah I got it we feed him out the bottle almost all the time anyways.”

You laugh and kiss Jeremy lips.

“You a good father but are you sure?” You ask again.
“Yeah I’m positive,” Jeremy said.
“Ok.”

You booked a flight and packed then go to the living room and play with Alex for the most part.
