Sure enough when we got to the “hospital” my mother was in labor

“Where are we?” Adalyn asked me

She was holding my hand the whole time

“It’s like a hospital minus humans. And they do spells in here half of the time” I said pulling her to my mothers room

When we stepped in my father was sitting next to her bed and holding her hand

“Mom are you ok?” I asked

She looked over at us and smiled

“Of course hunny. Even though it’s been centuries since I have done this” she said softly

Landon smiled and nodded. The room was pretty big so Landon and I sat on a loveseat near a window

“This place feels more comfortable than the hospitals on earth” I said looking around

Riley sat in a chair across from us

“What is earth like?” Riley asked

I looked at her and smiled

“Brighter than this lot of different people and new things everywhere. Where I lived there was this huge mall and I think I went shopping everyday” Adalyn said smiling

She somehow kept her eyes silver like my father it made her look striking especially when her hair was red

“And most people are nice but compared to here on earth we are saints” Adalyn said

Riley laughed and curled up in the chair. I looked over at my mother my father was whispering in her ear I’m assuming it was why she was so calm

“This reminds me of when my baby brother was born” Adalyn said softly

I look in her head and saw a small chubby boy with short brown hair and light brown eyes

“Me and my sister fought over him all the time but he is just as happy as he wants to be” She said

I smiled at her memories of them. My mother looked over at us finally and spoke to me first

“You two should go visit I’m sure her parents would be ecstatic to see her” My mother said strained

Adalyn tensed next to me she was worried she would kill them

“You won’t I promise” I said

She nodded and walked over to my mother with me behind her. She kissed my mother’s cheek and waited for me

“Summon me if you guys need me” I said softly

Adalyn held my hand and we popped to earth. We were in someone’s room and they woke up

“Who is that?” a little voice asked

Adalyn turned on a light and I saw a little boy in Spiderman pj’s and a mess of brown hair everywhere

“Adalyn” He said softly

She sat down on his bed and he jumped on her and hugged her. She giggled and hugged him tightly

“I missed you Niki isn’t as fun as you” He said softly

Adalyn smiled and rubbed his head. He pulled back and touched her face and then her hair

“You look so different I like it” He said happily

He finally looked over at me and turned his head like he was studying me. He got out of the bed and stood in front of me

“Whoa” he said

He put his arms up and I picked him up. I could hear his thoughts and he was fascinated with my eyes

“Are those contacts?” He asked

I nodded and he poked my eye. Adalyn giggled

“Jax that is Landon. Landon that is my baby brother Jax” She said

I put Jax down and he shook my hand. I laughed at his big guy routine

“It’s almost time for everyone to get up” Adalyn said looking at a clock

Jax got back into his bed and looked at Adalyn and myself

“Are you gonna leave again?” He asked pouting at her

She poked his lip and shrugged

“Im just here to visit. I can’t stay” She said softly

He looked sad and tears started to brim his eyes. Adalyn laid her head in his lap and put his hand on her cheek

“I don’t want you to leave. Everyone misses you and mommy always cries. Is it cause I was bad I promise I will be good if you stay” He said crying in her hair

She rubbed his cheek and shushed him

“No baby you weren’t bad you’re a perfect little angel. I just can’t stay but I will come see you as much as I can ok?” She said

He had his face buried in her hair and nodded. He sat up and looked at me

“You have to remind her if she forgets ok?” he asked

I smiled softly

“Of course I will” I said

He wiped his face and kissed Adalyn’s face. She reached around her neck and took off something red and blue

“Whenever you miss me rub this and I will be here” She said kissing it

Jax smiled but he missed what I saw. When she kissed it sparkles of magic flew she had charmed the necklace

It was Spiderman. She put it around his neck and kissed his cheek

“I’m gonna see if mommy and daddy are awake. I love you” She said softly

He laid back down and nodded. She grabbed my hand and turned his light off

“How do you know how to charm things?” I asked

She smiled and shrugged

“Riley told you didn’t she?” I asked

She nodded and kissed me softly. We walked through the dimly lit house and went down to the kitchen

“My parents are coming sit at the table” Adalyn said

I sat down and a few minutes later the lights flashed on and a woman with long brown, wavy hair looked over at us

“Adalyn?” She said softly

A man with light brown hair and dark eyes was behind her and they both stood with the same look of shock on their faces

“Hello” She said standing up

The woman grabbed Adalyn and hugged her tightly sobbing in her shoulder. Adalyn rubbed her mother’s back and tried to shush her

“Calm down mom” She said softly

The man was looking at me now

“Who is that?” he asked

Adalyn turned and smiled at me

“That is Landon” She said softly

I waved at them and smiled back at Adalyn. Her mother looked at me and stared at me for a moment

“Where have you been?” the woman asked looking back at Adalyn

Adalyn came over and sat next to me

“All over” she said softly

Her mother was getting angry now

“What do you mean around your only 17 there is no around. We have been looking all over for you and you come here with some strange guy are you doing drugs?” She asked her voice rising with every word

Adalyn shook her head

“I’m not doing drugs. I just wanted to go out and be somewhere new and he isn’t some guy we are getting married” She said
