Coffee beans and awkward conversations.
We started to leave the shack then it struck me. I have no idea what
The heck this guys name is. And what if he has a criminal record?
" Wait" I called out to him at he doorway.
" What is it?" he asked like he did something wrong.
" I have no clue what your name is." I stated smiling.
" My name? I'm Avery." he answered.
" Kay " I went back to being perky then continued following

The sunlight blinded me as I strode out the door so I
put my hands up loosely in front of my face. People were now up
and about on the streets walking around aimlessly. Their eyes were
baggy Just like Avery's and mine. The sun radiated heat off on my skin
reminding me a little of California where I used to live.
Avery was headed towards a line of shops, passing a spa, a bar, a surf shop then
He stopped at a coffee shop. Even a few shops down you could smell
the coffee beans. Avery looked up towards a man at the register then said,
" Jeff ." he looked back at him knowingly asked
" the usual?" Avery smirked and replied
" the usual." I smiled a little finding out about this mysterious man.
In about 5 minuets the coffee was done and a few more customers had arrived.
Avery glanced down inches and asked me " Do you want anything?"
I shook my head lying. My stomach was growling I forgot to eat breakfast.
" well your getting something anyway." he said firmly.
" Jeff, a glazed donut for ms. Vanessa here."
The man went right to work. I began to feel lime a burden then said
" no I'm really fine you didn't have to get me anything."
" I insist on eating it. You know you want it."
Minuets passed and slowly tore a piece of the donut off then
Placed it in my mouth.
" haha, I knew you would" he bragged. I turned my face down towards
The floor hiding the fact I was blushing. I got finished with the donut and Jeff
Outbursted with " so, are you guys engaged or dating?"
Avery almost spit out his coffee across the guys face " no she is a friend."
" oh, sorry about that." with that Avery got up then we left.
I wondered if my parents even noticed I had been gone all morning. Probably not,
they never do.
