The Night Stalker

Chapter Two

Luna walked outside and instantly got a chill down her spine. Someone was following her. They were close. It was them. She just knew it. She looked all around her, but there was no one there.

As soon as she walked into the school, there they were.
"What are you two doing here?" Luna asked the tall, blonde one; Rachel.
"Well, that's no way to treat someone that you haven't seen in three hundred years, little sister," Rachel said.
"We just wanted to see what our favorite little sister has been up to for the past three centuries," said the shorter brunette; Amber.
"I've been trying to stay away from you two," said Luna.
"Well, you're not doing a very good job," Rachel said.
"How long have you been following me?" Luna asked.
"Not long. Two centuries," said Rachel.
"How did you find me?"
"There's only one vampire named Luna in a six thousand mile radius," said Amber.

After school, Luna went home with Jenna to talk.
"Who were those girls that were at the school today?" Jenna asked.
"My sisters," Luna sighed.
"What did they want? They looked too old for high school."
"Oh, they are. I haven't seen them in...a few years," Luna said.
There was a long, awkward silence and then Jenna said, "So guess what I heard today."
"What did you hear today?"
Luna wasn't into all of the drama and gossip around the school, but she could tell that Jenna wanted to tell her.
"Axel Wilkinson likes you."
"Who is Axel Wilkinson?"
"He's the great-great-great-great grandson of Robert E. Wilkinson. And he's the most popular guy at Robert E. Wilkinson High School," Jenna explained.
"I still don't know who he is," Luna said.
"I'll show you him on Monday."

"There he is," Jenna said in the hallway.
"Who?" Luna asked.
"Axel"
"Where is he?"
"Over there. He's leaning against his locker," said Jenna.
Luna's eyes followed the direction that Jenna's finger was pointing.

She saw the boy leaning against his locker and her heart skipped a beat (if that was possible, sinch it hadn't beat for three centuries). Axel Wilkinson was incredibly handsome. He had short, black hair and hazel eyes and he smelled of mint and cologne.

"Luna," Jenna said.
'What?" Luna said without taking her eyes off of Axel.
"You're staring at him."
Axel looked over and noticed that Luna was looking at him. He smiled and she smiled back, then looked away.
"What do you think?" Jenna said.
"About what?" Luna asked.
"Axel."
"He's gorgeous. That hair and those eyes. And his smile could --"
Jenna cut her off.
"No. Axel!" Jenna said, pointing in the direction that the boy was walking.
"Oh."

"Hey," Axel said to Luna.
"Hey," Luna said, smiling.
"I'll see you in class, Luna," Jenna said.
She watched as Jenna walked away and then turned back to Axel.
"I think we have chemistry together," Axel said.
"Yeah. You're really good," she said.
"Please. I'm nothing compared to you."
She laughed.
"I've got to get to class. I'll see you around," Luna said.
"Yeah."
Axel began to turn, but stopped. He turned toward Luna and said, "Luna."
"Yeah?" she said.
"What are you doing Saturday?"
"I'm not sure. Why?"
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to do something."
"Uhm. Sure."
She smiled again.
"Great. See you in chemistry."
This time they both walked away without looking back.
