A Start of Something New

Olivia stuck close by Ronnie’s side as she and Falling in reverse walked through the wide giant double French doors of Devin’s mansion. She was excepting she would be abandoned again at the door, like last time. Only this time she didn’t have Lexus to talk too. She wasn’t sure what to do, mainly because she couldn’t remember what happened last time.

“Stay close to me” Ronnie whispered in Olivia’s ear; placing a ‘friendly’ hand on her shoulder.

People parted like the red sea as they made there way through the crowds. Everybody seemed to be either be gawking or smirking with mean looks. A few people even flashed a few pictures making Olivia really uncomfortable.

“Why are all these people staring at us?” Olivia asked

“They’re just fans” Ronnie answered

“They don’t have to stare like this though”

“Some of them are jealous” he whispered

“Of what?”

Ronnie was about to answer her question but Devin had greeted them…well more of announce
“FALLING IN REVERSE, Olivia, welcome! Happy new years.”

A waiter walked by with serving plate full of champagne filled glasses. Devin stopped him

“May I purpose a toast?” he asked

“Champagne? Psh, Devin you know how we roll.” Derek said

“Oh yes, I forgot.” Devin said then redirected his attention to the severer “fetch us 7 Jager bombs!” The waiter nodded and quickly left to retrieve the shots

“Did the shirts fit you ok?” Devin asked Olivia

“Yes”

“Do you like them?”

“I love them!”

“Awesome, I glad you love them. Tell all of your friends about me ok?”

When Devin said this it made Olivia kind of sad, because she realized she didn’t have any friends besides Derek and Jacky (she also wasn’t sure if she could consider Lexus and Lisa friends yet). But she didn’t want to tell Devin that she was a loser. Instead she just smiled and nodded.

The waiter came back with their shots. Everybody took one.

“To the new year.” Devin said as they clashed there bigger glasses together. Then they dropped their shot glass in to the energy drink. It fizzed as Olivia gulped hers down.

It was getting closer to midnight and the New Year. Olivia hadn’t drunk anything since the Jager bomb when she first arrived, Ronnie made sure of it. Her buzz was almost completely gone. He kept her close by at all times. Even though they were crowed by people wanting to talk to them. By 'them' meaning Ronnie, Nasty, Derek, Jacky, and Scotty. Most of the girls that had approached them had looked at Olivia like she had a disease.

“Hey, can me and my friend have a picture with you guys?” a girl asked, she had red and black hair and her friend had blond hair with black on the bottom. Both of them looked around Olivia’s age

“Sure, no problem sweetheart.”Nason said with a slurred speech, he drunk the most of the group and he was clearly close to being wasted

Devin agreed to take the picture and the girls wiggled their way in the middle of Derek and Scotty.

“Ready?” Devin asked about to take the shot.

“Wait! Who are you?” the red haired girl asked Olivia

“Yeah, get out of our picture!” the other one with blond hair yelled

“Sorry, I-” Olivia started to apologized stepping away.

“Just take the fucking picture?” Ronnie snapped at the girls pulling Olivia back closer to him by the waist

“Ugh, excuse me?” The blond asked in disbelief

“Look, do want take it or not?” Ronnie asked them clearly annoyed

“Alyssa, come on it’s no big deal” the red head said Alyssa reluctantly complied. Devin took the picture. Ronnie had his hands around Olivia’s waist for it but quickly removed them after the picture was taken.

“Thank you, you guys are awesome” the red head thanked them then giving an Olivia fake smile. As they walked away Alyssa, the blond, looked back and gave Olivia a very dirty look and smirked. Making Olivia feel stunned and in way sort of sad, the girl looked like she hated her with even know who is she was.

‘…The fuck? They don’t even know me!’

“Ugh, she’s not even that cute, Kat!” Alyssa ranted to her friend

“Stop hating on the girl”

“I’m not, look at her” Alyssa said pointing to her in the distance that they were watching they could see her talking to Ronnie laughing, smiling, and just having a good time.

“Yeah she’s ok”

“Exactly 'ok', nothing special.”

“Wow, Jealous much?”

“Who is she anyway? I doubt, she dating anyone in the band.”

“Maybe she’s a relative, like someone’s sister or something”

“No way, look how dark she is.”

“She just looks a little tan to me; after all we are in Las Vegas.” Kat pointed

“But look at her hair”

“Half sister?”

Kat and Alyssa watched Olivia leave Ronnie’s side into the dinning room
“I have an idea.” Alyssa whispered to Kat following Olivia into the dinning room. Rolling her eyes Kat trailed behind her best friend wondering what the hell she was dragging herself into.

Olivia examined the assorted foods on the table. They’re so many choices, but she decided to eat a finger sandwich.

“Hi” Alyssa said sauntering next to Olivia

“Hello?” Olivia returned the greeting Kat walked behind Alyssa

“My names Alyssa”

“I kind of figured” Olivia said it was pretty obvious when her friend called her by her name

“I just wanted to say sorry, I wasn’t trying to be mean or anything”

“Oh, ok then.” Olivia said then taking another bite of her sandwich.

“This my friend Kat” Alyssa introduced the red head who was standing behind Alyssa

“I’m Oli”

“It’s so nice to meet you Oli” Alyssa hugged Olivia, which caught her by surprise. She was pretty sure Alyssa hated her for no reason a few minutes ago now, she acting like she was her best friend

“No, the pleasure is all mine” Olivia said slowly still confused

“So Oli…that’s a cool name! Is like that like your nickname or is like short of something?”

“Yeah, my real name is Olivia” by this time Olivia was getting suspicious of Alyssa
 
There was something about Alyssa’s smile, the way she spoke and Kat’s disapproving look to her made Olivia skeptical of her.

“Awesome, so what’s up?”

“Nothing much.” Olivia kept giving short obvious answers as Alyssa kept trying to make a casual conversation.

“Wanna get something to drink?” Alyssa asked kind of getting irritated with the answers she was receiving 

‘Maybe a little alcohol in her system will get her talking’ Alyssa thought maniacally then chuckling to herself.

Olivia poundered over the offer for a little bit but then she Remembered what Ronnie had told her before she left him. Something that he made her promise

‘Don’t drink to much ok’ he had said Olivia shrugged then answered Alyssa 

“Sure”
