A Start of Something New

When Olivia got home Olivia got home she had a little less than an hour to get ready. She was caring a box of pizza leftovers as she walked through the threshold of the house. Jacky and Derek skipped around her. Nason, Scotty, and Brian were in the living room watching TV.

“Awe dude, you went to Verranzo’s with out us? Not cool, bro!” Nason exclaimed rushing over to Olivia and then taking the box of pizza out of her hands. He narrowed his eyebrows when he saw Olivia wrist wrapped in plastic.

“I knew you would get a tattoo” he said in ‘I told you so’ voice and smile curling up on the side of his lips.

“Whatever.” Olivia replied rolling her eyes

“And you pierced your nose twice”

“Anymore observations, Caption obvious?”

“One more,” Nason said taking her wrist them examined it

“Quotation marks, nice” Her cousin mumbled

“Thank you, and if will excuse me. I have a concert to get ready for.” Olivia stated then hurried up the stairs and then to her room. When she got to her room she quickly changed into her black skinny jeans and her white modern day escape shirt she had been waiting to wear for this occasion. She slipped her purple hoodie on but didn’t zip it up

Realizing that she had hardly anytime to get ready she didn’t bother straighten her hair and just let her hair be wild and curly. But she put on a black beanie to control it a little bit. She also knew she didn’t have anytime for makeup but she just quickly applied a thick layer of eyeliner around her light brown eyes.

After that she was praying that Ronnie was ready to go as she walked to his room and without knocking she turned the door handle and pushed through the door opened.
Ronnie was sitting on his bed doing something on his phone

“Ronald, are you ready to go?” Olivia asked him. Ronnie looked up from his phone. He wasn’t sure was but a wave of relief comforted him when he saw the young girl standing in his door way.

“Yes I am. Are you?”
The girl nodded her head yes. Ronnie springed up from his bed he went into his night stand drawer and got the tickets and back stage passes out. He handed Olivia hers she put the pass around her neck and the ticket in her pocket.

“Cool, you pierced your nose. And both sides, nice” Ronnie complemented

“Come on, lets gooooo!” Olivia said full of excitement was she started to talk out of the room. Until Ronnie grabbed her arm and spun her around and before her could reply he kissed her. It was quick and short, but passionate.

“Can we leave now?” Olivia asked smiling

“Yes” Ronnie answered her pecking her on the lips once more before releasing her

“Going to that concert?” Nason asked them as they walked down stairs

“Yes!” Olivia answered

“Is this your first concert?” Derek asked

“Yeah,”

“I remember my first concert” Derek said and he probably would have told an entire story but Olivia stopped him

“I bet you do. But I have to go to mine, so I’ll see you guys later.”

Ronnie and Olivia found the venue with out any problem. The venue was Area 702 an indoor skate park. They parked in the back where there were Vans RV and trailers were. Olivia noticed a lot of the bands guy had already arrived and most just hanging around and few people where dragging stuff out of big trailers and putting them in the venue.

“Are you ready to hangout with some band dudes?” Ronnie asked Olivia. She glanced at Ronnie pouting.

“I’m nervous” The girl confessed

“Why? It’s just like hanging out with Jacky, Derek or Scotty.”

“Well, ok” Olivia said the let out a deep breath then getting out of the car slowly. Ronnie was immediately by her side comforting her. Together they walked closer to the venue no one seemed to stop them not even the guards as they walked into the back way entrance. Olivia could feel their eyes on her though.

Inside the venue there where three men on the stage. Three men that Olivia knew the names of and knew very well. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw them. One of the men was tiny with blond and brown hair. Another one of them had a black hand print tattoo across his face (I mean quite literally). And the last guy had half the hair on his head shaved.

“Get scared!” Olivia mumbled under her breath in excitement

“No fucking way!” the blond one, Johnny B, exclaimed jumping off the stage.

“Ronnie fucking Radke, long time no see bro.” Johnny B gave Ronnie a bro-hug

“Hey Johnny” Ronnie returned the greeting

“What’s good, man? I heard when you got out a while ago.” Nick asked, the one with the face tattoo, following behind his guitarist. And then Lloyd, the other guitarist, following behind Nick

“Nothing really nowadays, I’m free it’s crazy. I'm working on an album”

“Hello, who’s this?” Johnny B asked nodding towards Olivia

“This is Oli, this is her 1st concert.”

“Hi Oli, I’m Johnny B”

“Yeah I know. I got your EP  cheap tricks and theatrics, I love it.” Olivia couldn’t believe she was actually talking to Johnny B this calmly

“Thank you, but I can tell you must really be here for Modern Day Escape” Johnny B said motioning to Olivia’s shirt

“Yeah, I guess. I enjoy all the bands that are gonna play tonight. So, I’m here for everybody really” Olivia replied crossing her arms smiling.

“That’s cool. You have a good taste in music then.”

“Well, I listen to a little bit of everything.”  Olivia shrugged

“Me too.” Johnny nodded and started smiling

“Where, the hell is everybody” A mans voice yelled coming through the front entrance it turned out to be Marti Rubels he seemed to look out of it a little to say the least. He wondered in looking around he saw us then ran over to us. When he saw Ronnie he slowed down, his eyes widening.

“Ronnie? Oh shit, I forgot you got released!” Marti said slapping his forehead “Missed touring with you, brother” Marti said giving Ronnie some dap.

“Marti?” Olivia whispered to herself but everyone else heard her apparently

“Yuppers that’s me! Marti Rubels, of modern day escape.” He said in a theatrical voice, then bowing for dramatic affect. He straightend himself up "Whats your name"

“Hi, my name is Oli” Olivia said in small voice

“Hey Oli, I like your shirt.” Marti said then winked at Olivia who felt that she could faint right then and there.

“Thank you.”

“Mhm, no problem anything for a fan” Marti said the one-handingly hugged her. Olivia automatically snaked both arms around him tightly

“You’re welcome! I listen to House Of Rats like everyday.” Olivia said finally letting go of Marti

“Amazing! That makes you awesome.” Marti said ‘awesome’ in a high pitched voice and his eyes looking up at the ceiling.

“Really?” Olivia asked

“Completely, But has anyone seen the rest of my band? I can find them anywhere!” Marti questioned

“We just got here” Ronnie answered shrugging

“Not after I saw you all arrive” Lloyd told Marti

“Awe, oh well. We still have sometime before the show so hopefully they’ll show up before then”

“You better hope so” Nick said

"I just did" Marti said shaking his head.

“Would help ya search for them but we gotta finish setting up and sound checking” Johnny B said

“Fine, see you guy later” Marti stated pouting he slumped his shoulders then walked off

“We really do have finish setting up. I believe Vampires Everywhere is in the lobby. You should handout with them. They are pretty cool dudes” Lloyd redirected us pointing to the main lobby area

“Ok, see you guys in a little bit.” Ronnie said

“And I will most defiantly see you later Oli” Johnny B told Olivia before he went back to the stage and continued as they were doing.
