A Start of Something New

In the Lobby there where a few couches and beanbags set against the walls. Five gorgeous rock stars where hanging out. Alex and Zac, the bassist and guitarist of Vampire’s Everywhere, where stocking up on goodies at the vending machines.

“Ronnie?” Michael Vampire inquired getting up from his green bean bag coming toward the pair “Nice to meet you again” Michael said shaking Ronnie’s hand

“Hi Michael” Ronnie returned the greeting

“Hey, I remember you from some where….” Michael stated looking at Olivia squinting his eyes.

“I doubt it” Olivia said

"You’re that one chick from Devin Taylor’s party!” he said suddenly realizing

“Dude, this is the girl you said was wasted and Devin’s Christmas party?” David, the drummer of Vampire's Everywhere, asked walking over to them and getting in the conversation. He eyed at Olivia up and down half smiling. It made her feel uncomfortable.

“Exactly what do you remember about me? I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only drunk person preasant” Olivia asked Michael

“Nothing really, besides that you were very loud and I saw you make a hard fall.”

“So why would you remember me, of all people?”

Michael shrugged his shoulder “Probably because I thought you were pretty hott. Especially in that dress you wore ” He said then taking another step closer then looking down on Olivia who rolled her eyes blushing. She held her ground crossing her arms.

“Oh really?” Olivia asked titling her head and rising an eyebrow looking up to Michael.

“Yeah” he shrugged

“You did, huh? Then why the fuck the entire time I saw you were you where in a corner making out with Lisa?” Ronnie sharply replied giving Michael a death glare and pulling Olivia closer to his side.

“Lisa?” Michael looked at Ronnie incredulously

“Lisa Hotfuss? I’m pretty sure that rings a bell considering you were in liplock with her forever until you guys disappeared”

“He got you there, Michael” Jay Killa, the keyboardist of the band, shouted across the lobby

“Shut up!” Michael yelled then started to walk outside

“Whatever!” Jay Killa yelled back everyone shared a laugh

“Don’t mind Michael he’s typically an asshole” Zak said to Olivia and Ronnie. He handed both of them cans of soda Olivia thanked him, Ronnie nodded.

“Hey, can I have a hug?” Olivia heard a voice from behind her in close proximity. She jumped as a result some of her soda spilled. She turned around to find a man with his face and body decorated in black paint.

“Hi?”

"Hello” the man greeted himself

"This is Jake, he plays guitar for Black Veil Brides. He likes giving random people random hugs” David, the drummer of Vampire’s Everywhere, explained

"Oh, well, ok" Olivia said giving Jake a hug he had a distinct smell of beer.

"Hey have any of you guys seen Marti?" Someone asked coming through archway from the skate park

Olivia peered over to the side of her only to see her most favorite band in world (minus one guitar player, of course)

Shep, Nic (AKA bagel) James Vegas, and Corey Texas stood there. Olivia out a light squeak.

"Marti has been looking for you guys!" Ronnie told them

"Ronnie? What are you doing here?" James asked bro hugging him "I missed touring with you dude!"

"My friend Oli loves you guys and this is her first concert”

“Hey Oli, we love you too” James spoke to Olivia

“Really”

"Mhm-mm, we love all our fans”

“Fucking robot penis! There you dirt mud ducks are.” Marti exclaimed busting through the front double doors of Area 702

“What the fuck? We’ve been looking for your crazy ass!” Corey, the drummer of Modern Day Escape, retorted.

“What are you talking about? You guys, like, abandoned me as soon as we got here!”

“No, you hauled ass as soon as got here” Shep corrected

“Did no such thing!” Marti gasped

“Yeah you did” James confirmed

“And to think I wrote you guys some poetry while I was looking for you” Marti said in hurt voice

“Since when do you write poetry?” Corey questioned

“5 minutes ago” Marti shrugged

“Ok then where is it?” Nic asked Marti took out his cell phone and scrolled through it he then cleared his throat and announced his poetry

“Mythical creatures’ misconception, Griffin alchoseler, centaur sweat shops, garden wizard lizard, goblins and gremlins GHOST! Live action costumes werewolf neuters” Marti closed his phone and slid it back in his pocket “So, what do you guys think?”

“Marti that isn’t poetry” Alex said

“Uh yeah, it is. I would know for a fact ’cause I wrote it. Duh.”

“Whatever dude, just don’t run off again without telling one of us. You know what happen last time” Nic said

“What happened last time?” Olivia inquired

“Well we where in Liberal, Kansas and you know where that’s at?” Marti asked

“I have no idea” Olivia admitted Marti let out a nervous laugh

“Neither did we, anyway apparently, I let out a bunch of horses out on to a highway”

“Why?”

“I can’t remember. But according to everybody else I was talking to the horses for 2 hours. So they say”

There was an awkward silence.

“Hey who wants to go to star bucks?” Marti pruposed

“You don’t need anymore caffeine, Marti!” Nic said

“But, but…BUT BAGEL!” Marti whined

“You already drunk the rest of the monsters we had stocked up” Shep added

“But that was hours ago and I only had like…four, or six” Marti explained then looked away nervously

“NO MARTI!” James Shep and Nic all said in unison.

“Finnneeee! I’m going to go smoke a cigarette” Marti told his band, giving up. He slumped his shoulders once more and walked away

“Do not wonder off again!” James yelled back at Marti. Marti kept walking and without looking back he shot James a black nail polished middle finger.

“Is he normally like this?” Olivia asked

“Yes” almost everybody said at once.

“Hey can anyone help us out? Our van isn’t working!” Lloyd asked poking his head in the archway that connected the lobby to the skate park

“Yeah, what’s wrong with it?” Corey asked

“We can’t get it too start” Lloyd explained

Lloyd lead all of them to the back of the venue where there was parked next to their trailer, the hood was up and Johnny B looked like he was trying to work on it Nick, of Get Scared, was sitting in the driver seat trying to put some gas to the van but the van only seemed to make choking and popping sounds. All the guys looked over the engine and all the other stuff you typically find under the hood of a van. 

Olivia just sort of watched but observing guys cuss and work on a van was pretty boring. She found herself starting to wonder until she got to the back of the van where Corey Texas stood it sort of in a way looked like he was hiding

“Shouldn’t you be helping?”

“Who me? Hell no, me and mechanics down mix well.”

“What kinda guy doesn’t like to sweat a lot and work on engines?” Olivia joked obviously

“This guy right here!” Corey said pointing to himself.

Corey was cute little guy. He was short and just a pinch taller than Olivia. He had snake bites, stretched ears, long black hair and He wore black rectangular glasses.

The van made more popping sounds then a liquid spurted out of the muffler and landed on Corey’s legs.

“Holy shit, fuck!” Corey shouted attempting to wipe the mystery substance of his legs

“What the fuck is that!?” Olivia exclaimed jumping back and pointing

“I DON’T KNOW!”

“What’s going on back here?” Nick, of Get Scared, investigated coming to the back of his van

“The fuck is this? It came out of your muffler!” Corey yelled was starting to freak out

Nick’s facial expression changed from confused, to nothing and then worried

“Well, um, I think that it might be my 
pee.”

“WHO THE FUCK PEES ON A FUCKING MUFFLER!?” Corey screamed then stormed off into the venue

“What’s wrong?” Ronnie questioned making his way to the back of the van as well

“Corey got pissed.” Olivia said Nick busted out in laughter

“What made him so mad though?” Jake asked

“What can I say? He got pissed!” Olivia said again Nick laughed even harder

“Speaking of piss, I gotta pee” Olivia said then went in to the venue. She wondered around until she found the restrooms. On the men’s door a cardboard sign was duct taped to it that said ‘OUT OF ODER'

“That’s really classy” Olivia muttered to herself she pushed the door open to find Andy Sixx adding the finishing touches to his makeup and body paint.

“Hey” Olivia spoke to the rock star

“Hello there” Andy Sixx had a surprisingly deep voice for a 19 year old

“What’s up?” Olivia was proud of herself that she was getting used to meeting and talking rock stars

“Just finishing up here. Do want me do step out while you-”

“No your fine.” Olivia reassured
Corey slammed the handicap stall door open. He seemed to still be mad.

“Are you ok?” Olivia asked trying to suppress a giggle

“I’m ok now, I guess”

As if things couldn’t get anymore weird Marti Rubels scrolled into the bathroom

“Hey Oli, Andy and Corey.” He waved at all of them. Marti went to go into a stall until he caught a whiff of Corey.

“Awe dude you stink!” Marti pointed out

“Thanks, man” Corey rolled his eyes

“No, I’m serious! You smell like urine. Who peed on you?”
