We've Got More Than We Know

“Josh, you did such a good job picking this dress out,” I smiled while walking out of the bathroom all dressed up.

“I think you do a good job making it look sexy and oh so beautiful,” He smirked while opening his arms for me and I took a seat on his lap and he connected our lips. “You look so gorgeous.”

“You look really handsome,” I told him while running a hand down his chest that was covered by a long sleeve plaid button up shirt along with his dark jeans and etnies. His hair was spiked up in his little faux hawk that was so adorable.

“Where’d Emma go?” Josh asked.

“I’m here!” Her little voice said while she trotted into the room.

“Aw, Emma you look so adorable!” I cooed while she crawled on the couch next to us and I left a kiss on her head.

Emma had on a dress and the top half was black and the bottom was white with black polka dots. It was separated by a red belt with a flower on it. Josh had even gotten her red sparkly ballet flats.

“Mommy you look pretty,” Emma smiled.

“So do you honey,” I cooed while we rubbed our noses together. Josh then pulled both of us up close against him and gave us both lots of kisses.

Soon enough Todd came out with Kylee tucked under his arm and Mason was in hers. The three of us got up and Josh hooked a tattooed arm around my waist and he held Emma’s little hand with his free on.

“Why won’t you tell me where we’re going?” I asked Josh as the elevator started going down.

“Because I want you to be surprised,” He smiled.

“Daddy said you like surprises,” Emma whispered to me.

“I do like surprises, they just drive me nuts before I find out what they are,” I whispered back as Emma let out a cute little giggle.

“Well trust me on this. You’ll enjoy it,” Josh reassured me while kissing me.

“I’m sure I will as long as your there,” I smiled while pecking his lips.

“I don’t like it when you two plan things together. Between the two of you, you’ve hit your head way too many times… it scares me what you could possibly come up with,” Kylee spoke up.

“Nice to know you have confidence in us,” Josh sarcastically mumbled out.

“Well… she’s kind of right,” I snickered.

All of us piled into a taxi and headed to…wherever we were going. Once our cab rolled to a stop Todd pulled Kylee and Mason out first then we followed them. As I got out a big smile spread across my face. Josh slipped an arm around my waist while I felt Emma put her little hand into mine.

“Do you like it?” Josh asked as we were being led to a little secluded area.

“I do baby,” I grinned.

My cute little family slid into the booth opposite of where Ky, Todd, and Mason were. Ky looked just as smiley as I was.

“Ok… this is kind of cute,” I grinned.

“I agree,” Ky returned my smile but then looked at Todd.

All of us got dinner and we had such a nice time. All of us just chatted and enjoyed our time together. It was nice that all of us could just hang out and talk about whatever we wanted to. So far New York is turning out to be amazing. And our boo’s planned it for us, that’s even sweeter!

“Daddy, can we get dessert?” Emma questioned with a big smile.

“Sure honey,” Josh replied.

Josh got us the most delicious brownie I’ve ever had! It was so gooey and warm. It had chocolate chips in it that melt and oh man it was so good. There was ice cream around it along with whipped cream and a cherry. I couldn’t help but giggle when it came and Emma almost stuck her face into it. She probably would have if we let her.

I happened to look over and see Todd and Kylee sucking face. Do those two ever stop? I took the cherry off of our brownie and flicked it at Todd, pelting him in the cheek. Direct hit! It sent all of us into hysterics…except Todd and Ky.

“What’d you do?” Kylee questioned.

“She flicked a cherry at me!” Todd whined, causing more giggles to pour out of me.

As Todd turned to show Kylee, she started loving on him to make it better. Oh gag me!

“Being mean to my Todder’s,” Ky pouted.

“You thought it was cute anyway,” Josh threw at her.

“You know what’s cute?” She asked with a smirk.

Kylee grabbed a spoonful and flicked it at my hubby! It splattered right on his forehead. I couldn’t help it, I let out a few giggles. Gosh, we’re probably going to get kicked out of here.

“You did not just do that,” Josh shot at her with a smile on his face.

“I think I did,” She laughed at him.

I couldn’t help but retaliate to their little kissing session earlier. I took my napkin and scooted right up against Josh. He hooked his arms around my waist while I started whipping the whipped cream off. When I was done I left slow kisses all in that area then passionately pressed my lips to his, making Todd and Kylee start to make gagging sounds at us.

“You know, Ky, it would be such a shame if something were to get on that dress,” Josh smirked once I had finished.

“Don’t even think about it, Grant!” She shot back quickly.

Josh gave her a big smirk and kept on eating his dessert. He slipped one of his hands over onto my knee and gave it a little squeeze. Then he looked passed me at our daughter who was still munching on her part of the brownie.

“How you doing, Em?” He asked.

“Good!” She mumbled out through the ice cream in her mouth.

We finished up our last bites before heading out. As we slid out of the booth I took Emma’s hand and I expected Josh to be putting his arm around my shoulders or taking Emma’s other hand but… he didn’t. Todd, Ky and Mason were already walking ahead of us and he wasn’t with them. I turned around and saw Josh grabbing his cup of water, then he came over and walked with us.

“Daddy, what are you doing?” Emma asked.

“I’m showing your Aunt Ky how you shouldn’t mess with JG,” He smiled.

As we got to the door Josh flung the icy water out of the cup and it splashed Ky right in the back. At lease he was nice enough to only use water, and not something that would stain her dress. But as the water made contact with her back she started dancing around from the shock of cold. It was so funny! I laughed so hard I fell over!

“Aunt Ky, you funny,” Emma giggled once our laughs had all died down a bit.

“Ha, ha,” She shot a glare at my husband.

“Such a shame you got water on that dress,” Josh chuckled with a smirk.

“Watch it, Grant, I know where you sleep!” Kylee threw at him.

“I’m so scared,” He teased while coming over and helping me up.

All of us hopped in the taxi and oh man was it cold outside! I was freezing. But Josh had to tease Kylee a little more when we were driving back.

“It’s getting a little warm in here, I’m going to roll down the window,” Josh said while he let the cold air in. I snuggled into Josh and Emma was already on my lap so I was okay.

“Stop it Josh, it’s freezing and the water hasn’t dried yet!” Ky snapped at him.

“Maybe you should watch out for water like that,” He teased.

“I think you better be watching out buddy,” Kylee glared at him.

Soon enough we got back to the hotel and Ky, Todd and Mason disappeared into their room while we went into ours. Josh helped Emma get changed into her pajamas while I went into the bathroom to change and take off of my makeup and everything.

When I came out I found such a cute sight. Josh was laying in the middle of the bed, on his side while Emma laid on her side as well, all cuddled up to Josh and he was holding her in his arms. I tip toed over to the side our sleeping daughter was on and left a soft kiss on her forehead.

“I love you Emma,” I whispered, even though she couldn’t hear me.

I then went over to the other side and crawled in, snuggling up to Josh’s bare back and planting a kiss there.

“I love you sweetheart,” I heard him say,

“I love you too baby,” I cooed while draping an arm around him. “You do know that Ky’s going to be coming for revenge don’t you?”

“oh yeah,” He smiled. “But it’s worth it. That was so funny!”

“Yeah it was,” I giggled, remembering her dancing around.

“You might want to watch out too. Todd didn’t look too happy when you hit him with that cherry,” Josh chuckled.

“They may plot revenger together,” I laughed.

“Probably,” He replied. “Good night honey.”

“Night Joshie,” I said before snuggling up closer and closing my eyes.

This was such a fun day. We got to go shopping then out to such a fun dinner. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
