You're Mine Forever & Always

I remember it like it was just yesterday. When I met him; Joe Jonas, you might have heard of him. He’s in that one band, Jonas Brothers with his two brothers, Kevin and Nick. It’s really strange how things work out actually. My older brother Jason met Kevin when he was out with his friends at the local bar here in town. My brother is 21 by the way, so he’s legal. Kevin and my brother are pretty much the reason I met Joe in the first place, well Kevin especially since that’s his older brother. They immediately hit it off once they met and have been best friends ever since. Out of the blue, when they were at the bar, Jason asked Kevin if he knew of any single guys and brought up that I was single and looking.

After he said that Joe was single and looking too, just like I was, he brought up the idea of having Joe and I meeting somewhere. Jason thought it would be a pretty good idea. Once he got home that night, he came straight up to my room and told me. I remembered that day clearly.

Flashback; almost 9 months ago:
I was sitting up in my room messing around on my laptop. I heard a noise and looked up to see my older brother walking in to my room.

“Hey Sam,” he said, smiling lightly over at me.

“Oh, hey Jace,” I smiled back. We were super close and barely ever fought with each other.

“Why are you looking over at me like that?” I asked as I looked over at him smiling slightly, a confused look on my face.

“I met this guy Kevin earlier, you know Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers? Well, we started talking earlier and I brought up that you’re single and looking for a guy to treat you right. He said that Joe’s single and looking and thought that it would be a good idea for you two to meet and like, start talking or something. He said he’s a really good guy and would make any girl happy, he listed everything that he’s looking for in a girl and it fits you to a tee. I’m not even kidding, Sam. If I were you, well, a girl, I’d want to give it a try. What do you think?” he asked, I laughed slightly over at him.

“Y-yeah, I-I think I will,” I smiled over at him.

“That’s great, well I’m gonna go text him and tell him your interested. You alright with that?” he questioned, looking over at me.

I just smiled before nodding and replying, “Yeah, that’s fine!” before I grabbed my laptop and went onto Facebook.

After signing on to my account, I checked all the notifications I had before looking to see who was online. About right away, I noticed my best friend Jessica was online. I clicked on her name before I began to type a quick message to her.

IM Conversation;
Me: hey Jess!

Jessica: Hey girl! What’s up?

Me: Not much, I’m really happy, kind of nervous though…

Jessica: About what? Lol (:

Me: You aren’t going to believe me, but Jason was at the bar earlier and met Kevin Jonas. They started talking and he brought up that I was single and looking. He said that Joe was single and looking too and that maybe Joe and I could meet up and start talking or something like that. He also said all the things that Joe was looking for in a girl and it fit me to a tee so I think I’m going to give this a try and see how it goes!

Jessica: Oh my gosh…you’re kidding me?! Lucky!! You better tell me how it goes!

I smiled at myself before I began to reply back. She loved the Jonas Brothers; we were both fans, she was a bit more, shall I say, obsessed than I was? I mean I love them and think they are a great band and everything but wouldn’t say I was “obsessed” even though I do think that they are three very attractive good-looking young men.

Me: I sure will! Well, I think I’m gonna get off for a bit. I’ll talk to ya later…bye!

Jessica: Okay, girl. Talk to you later! Can’t wait to hear how it all goes for you! (:

After logging off, I shut my computer down before setting it back over on my desk. I got up and walked out of my bedroom before making my way downstairs and in to the kitchen. About right away, I noticed Jason sitting at the bar, staring down at his phone. I went over to the fridge and pulled out some stuff to make a sandwich.

“Hey Sam,” I turned and looked toward him after opening the jar of mayo before I started putting some on a piece of bread.

“Hey,” I replied back, he smiled over at me.

“It’s all set…oh and I gave Kevin your number to give to Joe, he gave me Joe’s to give to you…and you guys can start texting or something,” he said, looking over at me. I smiled before saying something,

“Really? Awesome!” I said as I started putting all the stuff together I wanted on my sandwich.

“Oh-and I think Kevin said he would have Joe text you later,” he said, looking over at me.

“Cool,” I said, smiling to myself before putting my sandwich on a plate and taking a seat next to him at the bar. I reached over and grabbed my phone that was sitting there on the bar. After unlocking my iPhone, I typed in my pass code and noticed I had a new text message from an unknown number. I tapped where it said ‘read message’ and began to read it.

Hey, it’s Joe! What’s up? I smiled before I started to text him back. Hey, not much, just sitting here next to my brother eating, haha. How are you? I’m Samantha by the way. (:

After I sent the message, I set my phone down before taking a bite of my sandwich. It vibrated a few minutes later signaling a new text message. After unlocking it and typing my pass code in, I started to read the text he just sent me.

I’m pretty good, lol. That’s a real pretty name! My older brother Kevin told me earlier that he met your brother, Jason and they started talking and he brought up that you’re single and looking…well I am too, and think it’d be pretty cool if we could get together and hang out for a bit some time. What do you say? Because I really want to meet you and Kevin told me that you’re lookin’ for a guy who will treat you right and all that…

I smiled before I started to reply back. Yeah, that’d be pretty awesome! Thanks! When do you think we could get together and meet somewhere? (: After sending that message, I took another bite of my sandwich before getting up and grabbing a water bottle from the fridge. I took the cap off and took a drink before tightening it back on and setting it down on the bar.

After texting for the next half-hour, I looked over at the clock and noticed it was 11:30. God, were we texting that long? I thought to myself as I lay in bed, phone in hand. I didn’t mind it, even though I was super tired. It was good that we picked a date to get together and meet; this coming Saturday at noon at North Highlands Mall. I just noticed something; tomorrow was Saturday. I smiled to myself before I started to text him back.

So, what should I wear when we meet tomorrow so you’ll know it’s me? Haha (: He replies back a few minutes later. Um, how about something blue? Like a shirt and shorts or something. I’ll be wearing a navy blue v-neck and a pair of jeans so you’ll recognize it as me. I really can’t wait to meet you! I smiled, I really couldn’t wait to meet him either. Even though I haven’t even met him yet, I was already really starting to like him. We text a bit while longer until I fell asleep.

The next morning I got up and went into my bathroom so I could take a shower. After I took my shower, I got out and wrapped a towel securely around my body before going back in to my room and picking out my outfit for when I was meeting Joe later. I picked out a cute light blue tank top along with a pair of denim shorts. I grabbed my bra and underwear before slipping them both on and dropping the towel straight to the floor. After putting on my outfit, I walked back in to my bathroom and started blow-drying my hair.

Once I finished blow-drying my hair, I began to straighten it. After I finished straightening it, which took a long time, I went and checked my phone. I noticed I had a new text message from Joe. I smiled as I began to read it. Morning!! How’d you sleep last night? (: I started to text him back immediately. I slept great. How about you? After I sent that, I looked at the time, it was 10:30. I had two more hours before I had to leave for the mall.

To pass time, I grabbed my cell phone before heading downstairs to the living room. I decided to watch some TV before heading over to the mall in a few hours. After turning the TV on, I changed it to the CW. A new episode of Gossip Girl was on. A few minutes later of watching the TV show, it went straight to commercial. I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, noticing I had a new text from Joe.

After tapping ‘read’ I began to read his message. Pretty good, just can’t wait to finally meet you in a couple hours. (: I smiled at his reply, I was really excited to meet him too! We continued to text for the next few minutes until Gossip Girl came back on. I told him I would text him when I was on my way to the mall. He replied back and said that he would be waiting. After watching TV for the next hour and a half, I pulled out my phone and texted Joe telling him I was just about to head out for the mall. He replied back and said he’d be leaving pretty soon also.

I went over and grabbed my keys along with my cell phone before I headed out to my car. Once I got in my sky blue Mustang, I stuck the keys in the ignition before starting up the car. After pulling out of the drive way, I turned on the radio. Billionaire by Travis McCoy and Bruno Mars was thumping through the speakers. I began to sing along as I drove over to the mall. I smiled to myself as I came up to the exit I was supposed to get off on to get over to the mall.

I couldn’t wait to meet him, I was anxious. I was really hoping that it would all go well and turn out great. I’ve only ever done this one other time…with one of my first boyfriend’s during my freshman year in high school. After I pulled into the parking lot, I started looking for a place to park my car. I found a spot right in the front near the entrance of Macy’s.

After pulling in to the parking spot, I shut off the engine before removing my keys from the ignition. I grabbed my cell phone along with my keys before I got out and started to make my way toward the front entrance of the mall, which was right next to Macy’s. After walking in the entrance, I found a bench to sit down at so I could look for Joe. I looked around for a guy in a navy blue v-neck shirt and a dark pair of jeans.

I heard a voice behind me; I turned to see a guy standing there in a navy blue v-neck and a dark pair of skinny jeans.

“A-are you Samantha?” he asked, smiling lightly and pulled off his black Ray ban sunglasses.

I smiled and nodded my head before replying, “You must be Joe,” I smiled. He smiled back before replying again.

“In the flesh,” he grinned and put his hand out. I shook his hand before we both sat down and began to talk for the next fifteen minutes.

We continued to talk and get to know each other better for the next few hours while we walked around the mall together. I knew we just met a few hours ago but I was really starting to like him, like a lot. I was really hoping he liked me too. Turns out, we have a bunch of things in common: the same favorite color, which is blue, we listen to the same kind of music, such as rock and roll and all the old rock groups and some pop music. We were also the same age, eighteen.

Now, it’s been about a month and a half since we met at the mall that one weekend. We’ve been talking and hanging out a lot more. We were walking around the park closest to my house. He smiled as he looked over at me.

“I-I know t-this is so soon, but I really like you, a lot.” He said, staring over at me, in to my eyes.

“I really like you too!” I smiled back over at him.

He smiled over at me as I stared over at him, a slight smile on my face.

“Uh-c-can I ask you something?” he questioned, star over at me.

“Y-yeah, sure!” I said, smiling over at him. I couldn’t help but wonder what he was going to ask me. I felt my heartbeat start to speed up a bit as he stared over at me, a slight glow in his dark brown eyes.

“W-will you be my girlfriend?” he asked, smiling slightly as he stared over at me.

“Y-yes! I’d love to be your girlfriend!” I stated, smiling as I looked over at him. I couldn’t help but smile to myself, I was so happy. He smiled back over at me as I felt him grab my hand in his, lacing our fingers together. I knew it couldn’t get any better than this; everything was going great for me.

Meanwhile; back to present day:
These past almost 9 months have been simply amazing; it just keeps getting better for Joe and I. Over the past 4 almost 5 months, he’s been promising me a lot of things and telling me a ton of stuff, how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and that he never wants to lose me or ever let me go, you know all those things every guy tells their girlfriend and they believe every single word.
