The Demon Princess and the Vampire Princes

Epilogue

The black gates with red splotches of blood shrieked as it opened. Abel looked out the windows of the Jeep with obvious fear. The guard of the gate analyzes me.

“State your business,” he says gruffly.

“Returning home before the upcoming war,” I say unemotionally, not looking at him.

“And the boy?”

I glance at Abel from my rearview mirror. “Wrong place, wrong time.”

“You may pass.”

I drive quickly, probably running over the Demon’s foot. As if I cared.

“Are you sure it’s safe for me to be here?” Abel asks quietly.

“You seem to have forgotten who I am. As Princess, I can execute anyone who disobeys me.”

He was silent for the rest of the ride to the palace. My home. I drive right in through the open gate, ignoring the guard as I nearly hit him. I park my jeep in the garage, and take a deep breath.

“Welcome home, Seraphina,” my father says, smiling at me.

“It’s good to be home,” I reply back indifferently, hopping out to get Abel.

“And who is he?”

“Dad, this is Abel. He’ll be staying with us.”

“Ah, well welcome Abel.”
