A Rock Prince with a Vengeance

The End

*3 months later*

Today is my wedding day. In exactly one hour, I was due to become Mrs. Zachary Baker, the Princess of the City of Evil.

The thought of becoming a Princess and being married into royalty terrified me on the inside. I had big shoes to fill in. Zacky makes it seem that living the royal life was easy, but in reality, it isn't too glamorous. Lately, he has been doing official work, leaving me home with Annie to take of by myself.

I took a deep, long stare at my reflection in the mirror. I was expecting to see a marvelously glowing and happy bride, but all that stared back was a girl who was scared of commitment.

"Is everything all right, my darling?" Val asked while fixing her pink bridesmaid dress.

"I don't know, I guess it is just wedding day nerves. Marriage is a big commitment, and I don't want to ruin this day."

"You need to stop being a pessimist and superstitious. You love Zacky, and Zacky loves you. If he didn't love you back, he wouldn't of waited a whole year after the engagement to get married to you. You'll be fine. I know what you're going through. I was the same way when I got married to Matt. Just remember the one tip my mother always told me: confidence is the sexiest attribute a woman can have, use it wisely."

*Zacky's POV*

I was nervous beyond relief. A year ago, I was overjoyed to get married, but now since the day is here, I'm losing my cool. I have a million of 'what if?' thoughts spiraling through my head.

I sat down and lit my fifth cigarette this hour. Chain smoking is a filthy habit of mine when I become too anxious.

"Are you stupid?" Matt said as he removed the cigarette from my mouth and stomped on it. "Do you think your wife-to-be wants to kiss someone who reeks of cigarette smoke on their wedding day?"

"Sorry. It's just that I'm nervous and sad about all of this."

"Why are you nervous and sad about today? It's your wedding day! You're marrying the love of your life!"

"I'm having paranoiac thoughts about any bad situations."

"I can understand that feeling? But I don't understand why you're sad."

"Because my best friend isn't here. He was suppose to be my best man, no offense."

"Zack, I know you miss Brian, we all do. Sometimes we have to be strong and move on. Remember, he's watching us from heaven, and I bet he's damn proud of you for marrying Briony. Now, you need to stop worrying about everything. What matters now is you and Briony."

"Mr. Baker, the ceremony will begin in five minutes. We need you at the chapel," the pastor said.

*Briony's POV*

"Where is my daughter?" I said frantically. The wedding is going to start in a matter of minutes and my Annabelle, the flower girl, is nowhere to be found.

"She's right here in my arms," Valarie said. She is going to carry Annabelle down the isle and help her with the flower petals. "Bri, you need to chill out. You're starting to become a bridezilla."

The wedding music began to play, and one by one, the bridesmaids walked down the isle first. Once the last one was in her place, that was my queue to walk. As I followed the follower petals down the isle, I couldn't help but smile at Zacky. All of my worries went away.

"You look beautiful," Zacky whispered into my ear. I couldn't help but blush.

"We gather here today to celebrate the holy matrimony of Zachary James Baker and Briony Elizabeth McCarthy," the pastor began the wedding speech as he did many times before.

I didn't pay attention to most of the ceremony. I was too busy in my own world, thinking about my future as Mrs. Briony Baker, and living a new life with Zacky and Annabelle. When my speaking part was due, I focused back to the ceremony.

"Briony, do you take Zachary James Baker to be your husband, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until you are parted by death?" the pastor asked.

"I do."

"And Zachary, do you take Briony Elizabeth McCarthy to be your wife, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until you are parted by death?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Baker. You may now kissed the bride." Zacky took me by the waist and kissed me while everyone clapped. It was now official.

*Reception*

Several hours ago, Zacky and I were officially pronounced husband and wife, and now we were celebrating with a party with our closest friends and family. Everyone off all ages seemed to be enjoying themselves by dancing to whatever the DJ was playing. After an hour or so, he stopped the music to make an announcement.

"All right, everybody. We're going to take a few minutes to let the bride and groom have their first dance. The song's called Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold."

As Zacky and I danced to our wedding son, I laid my head into his chest and began to reflect the past two and a half years of my life. Who would of thought that I would marry the man whose friends kidnapped me to go on one date with him, and then find out that I was in love with the Prince of the City of Evil.

When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of my fairytale wedding with my prince charming. Now, I'm pinching myself because it actually happened.

I'm sorry for the long-awaited update, and sorry if this last chapter doesn't seem too spectacular. I've also decided not to post an epilouge. Sorry :/

I do, however, want to say thank you to everyone who has read the story in these past ten months. If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't have found inspiration to continue on with this story. I'm being dead serious <3

Also, I have a new story. It's an original fiction called Paving the Broken Road, and you can check it out here.
