Maybe Memories

Thanks for the Memories

The walk over to Mikey’s house was very peaceful and Gerard and I had our hands intertwined. I couldn’t help but get the feeling I was falling for him, even though I still had the problem of not being over Bert. There was another reason, mainly how quick I was falling for him. Once in the house Alicia was the first to notice me and knew something was wrong. She knew it was wrong because the two of us had been friends since we were in diapers. If it wasn’t for me dragging her to see Bert on the taste of chaos tour that year she would’ve never met Mikey.

She then whispered in my ear, “what did he do to you?”

“Bert broke up with me,” I replied, letting out the millionth sigh that day.

“What? Why?” Mikey asked.

“I don’t know he just said that we should break up.”

Gerard then spoke up, “can we go to the cafe now? I need coffee before I explode.”

“I need it as well let’s go,” Mikey added.

“To the car,” I then proceeded to point to the car but was taken down by Alicia.

“I want a lift.”

I stood up and let Alicia jump onto my back; Gerard had opened both the front door and the car door for Alicia and me. At that moment I couldn’t help but notice that he had been very nice to me lately. On the way to the cafe our conversation consisted of what had happened while they were on tour. Once there, Gerard had opened both the car and cafe door for me and I thanked him with a smile. The four of us then proceeded to the back of the diner to a table that was in the corner and less crowded. Once we ordered our things we went back to talking.

“So Sherri, other than the obvious reasons how was your life without us?” Gerard asked.

“Well I guess it was alright, and I missed you guys so much it wasn’t funny, it was like I died.”

“So we’re talking to a ghost?”

“Yes Gerard we’re talking to a ghost, I would have fallen through her,” Alicia responded very sarcastically, I then playfully hit Gerard and let out a small laugh.

“I love you guys,” I then said.

“Yay I’m loved,” Alicia responded.

“Hey what about me Alicia, I love you too,” Mikey added, then he put on a fake hurt look and started to fake cry. After this she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“I love you too,” Alicia responded looking into his eyes, Gerard and I gagged and laughed.

“Well I know where I’m going when we get home,” Gerard spoke.

“And I know where I'm not going,” I added.

“Play nice you two,” added Alicia.

That’s when my head snapped up towards the counter where I had seen and heard that obnoxiously loud but oh so handsome. What was I thinking? I hate him, don’t I? What was Bert doing here? He should be gone. That’s when I seen him flirt with one of the waitresses and of course it was the blonde, had he moved on already. Gerard pulled me close and held my hand. Once he had left with her Mikey had spoke up.

“I think we should leave now,” Mikey yawned as he spoke there was bitterness in his words.

“Let’s go,” added Gerard, venom dripping off of his words.

On the way home Gerard sat in the back with me and once home he came over to my house to keep me company.
Once inside and we took off our shoes Gerard looked at me with passion in his eyes. He came over to me and looked into my eyes and held my hand.

“Sherri, I know you’re not over him, but I can make that happen, will you make that happen?”

I smiled and kissed him, and I knew that's something he wanted to do to me all day. I then pulled away and he smiled.

“Of course G, anything for my best friend.”

We then sat on the chesterfield and watched movies for the rest of the day.
